When you are away from your kids all day...

Do you feel disconnected? Do you think it's important to make time for re-connecting or bonding?

I think making time for bonding can make the transition from being without children all day to having the responsibility again easier on both the child and the parent.

Try to take 5 minutes to truly connect after being away from each other all day. Hold hands, read a story or just listen, without distractions, to your child talk. Use gestures to let them know your really there.

If there is no time for connecting or bonding after a long busy day then falling asleep snuggling with your child is a great way to end the day.

If we don't make time for our kids today, they won't make time for us tomorrow.

Kids first, everything else MUST wait.

In the midst of the busy that Summer brings, are you taking time to cherish the small things?

Are you holding your childs hand when you tuck them into bed?

Are you soaking up their sweet smell as you pick them up and hold them?

Are you sitting down with your family and playing a favorite game?

Don't forget to slow down today. Today will never be back. Hold their hands, play with them, tell them you love them like you have never told them before.
