Want gourmet WW food that actually lets you lose weight? Hop aboard the low point party bus 🚌 lol.

Cook my way and you can eat tamales, plates of pasta, biiiig snazzy burgers, 3 layered cakes, chinese food with noodles, potato salads... all while still losing or maintaining weight (depending on which your goal is).

Like the old saying goes.. “Never trust a skinny Chef.” Well... you should, if your trying to lose weight 😉🤣😂

You’re an advertisement for the validity of your cooking style. I’ve maintained my goal weight for the past 2.5 years eating like this everyday.... minus a few episodes of donut genocide here and there lol.

Just starting putting 2 recipes in the builder to try to make tonight, low point knockoff's of panda express chow mein and black pepper chicken. Biggest shock, I didn't know that black pepper actually gets a point at 3 tsp. Additional recent spice surprises.... realizing that garlic powder and cumin gain points after noooot too much of'em either. For regular dishes it's no biggie, but for things like a decent sized pot o chili or stew that call for a tablespoon or so of them... points. I wasn't aware that we all got overweight from black pepper. lol

This morning.. I decided to make a ‘joke’ dish, that actually ended up being fantastic. An “Elvis” themed Tamale. I posted a video to Connect, showing how to make it. Yesterday I posted a vid in Connect showing how to make a S’mores Tamale... but this one blew it away.

What was Elvis’s favorite sandwich? Peanut butter, bananas and bacon. So... I wanted to make a dessert Tamale version.

It’s my base low point masa recipe, but with powdered peanut butter and sweetener in the masa. For the filling, I froze a banana, and formed a 1/3 cup portion of peanut butter masa around it. So... you end up with a banana filled, peanut butter tamale.

For the toppings:
I crushed up 0 points (by grams) of peanuts, and sprinkle them over the tamale. I also cooked and crumbled a 0 point amount of bacon on it.

Sauce? Yes please.
I warmed up a jar of creamy peanut butter in the microwave, till liquidy and easy to scoop. In a little dish, I stirred together 1 Tbsp of sugar free maple pancake syrup with 1/4 tsp melted peanut butter, and drizzled it On top. Finally, I dusted it with a 0 point amount of powdered sugar.

So... for 5 points on all plans..
We have a banana filled peanut butter tamale, covered in crushed peanuts, crumbled bacon and drizzled with peanut butter maple syrup. For... 5... glorious points.

I call it “The Hunka Hunka Burnin Tamale.”

Video is in connect under

So I was looking at WW friendly Chili Rellenos recipes last night. Noticed that not a single one of them, from the ‘famous’ skinny-food bloggers is breaded and low point. Then I looked up the gold standard, skinnytaste. Not breaded, 6 points.

I thought “Do these ‘skinny bloggers’ even use the recipe builder? 🙄”

This breaded, baked, crispy chili relleno, WITH enchilada sauce, is 2 points. This was my 2 point lunch today.

Will write up the recipe soon. It’s pretty easy.

4 Point Chili Cheeseburger, Blue/Purple
** RECIPE LINK IS IN THE POST **
Made this for lunch today. It’s my WW-ified version of a “Tommy’s Original Chili Cheeseburger.” My version has approx. 500 less calories and 50g less fat.
3 points for the bun.
0 for the ‘savory’ ground turkey patty.
1 point for Velveeta Original cheese.
0 points for the chili (blue/purple).
Tomato, pickles, mustard, diced onions.
On green it would go up 1 for the turkey chili con carne, and an extra 1-2 depending on how big of a ground turkey patty you make.
It’s a big messy full sized .
The original recipe, which makes 4, is at the following ad-free link:
https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/dishes/burgers&sandwiches/ChiliCheeseburger.pdf
The ‘chili’ recipe is weird as aaaaall HE🏒 🏒 ... but that’s on purpose, to emulate the look and texture of the runny, fine texture chili, as well as the color that tommy’s makes theirs with, using hiiiiiigh fat, crumbly ground beef. I'm using 99% ff ground turkey, which normally does NOT crumble down into this texture, so I had to get creative and add a lot of liquid to it, for it to act like high fat 85/15 ground beef.
The burger’s really good, but because of page constraints, I couldn't include it in Cookbook 3.

-edit-
Seriously... slightly burn the flat side of your buns while toasting them, if you plan to take burger pics. That dark ring Gives a snazzy color contrast and really makes the fillings of the burger Stand out.
-edit edit-
This is lower point than the posted recipe.. because I only made 1 single burger. Where the recipe has the total points for all 4 slices of cheese factored in.

I just uploaded a video to youtube, that I posted to Connect the other day. It shows how to make 1 serving of my low point FRESH pasta, without a pasta roller. It uses (1) 1/4 cup pasta dough section from my fresh pasta recipe (link is in the video description). You can roll it out with a rolling pin, only use 1-1/2 tsp of flour in a wire mesh strainer to lightly dust the pasta, while rolling it out, for 0 points.

I juuuuuuust started adding my recent recipe videos from Connect, onto my Youtube channel. I haven't added anything into youtube for almost a year now, I was always too busy with the cookbook stuff. But, now that I'm taking a cookbook break till next year, I have time to start uploading some vids :)

It'll take a little bit to get them all off of Connect, but I was able to post 4 new ones today. Videos for 3 different small batch salad dressings. 0 point or 1 point for the batch. As well as a video for my WW-ified take on Ina Garten's potato salad. 2 points for a huge serving.

The link for my youtube channel is:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSGoH6hr28nyO6-TkwzdCag

I have about 15 videos all together that I have to toss onto it from the past 2-3 weeks. I'll be adding more as well.

Haven’t uploaded them to youtube yet, but yesterday in Connect I posted a video showing how to make an extremely easy, 3 layered chocolate cake that’s only 4 points per slice on ALL 3 plans. Today I posted a video showing how to make a Vietnamese Bahn Mi burger with a steamed bun, for 3 points on blue/purple, 4 on green.

The vids are in connect, . I’ll get them uploaded to yourube asap. Have also been uploaded a bunch of short vids to connect recently, showing how to make 0-1 point (for at LEAST) 1/4 cup serving size, salad dressings.

** 4 Points, TOTAL, blue & purple **
Today I reeeally wanted a Wendy’s Premium Cod fish sandwich. Really really wanted one. But, a small order of fries is 10 points and that sandwich is 13 points. So... spend 23 points on theirs, or make my own?

I made baked carrot fries, using cooking spray instead of oil. 0 points.

I breaded a piece of cod with crushed Rice Krispies breading (lower point than breadcrumbs OR corn flake crumbs, for 1 cup crumbs). Then made a batch of 0 point for 1/3 cup tartar sauce.

The bun was a 4 point store bought bun, that I scooped some bread out of the top bun, to take it down to a 3 point bun by weight (grams). So, 1 point for the breading, 3 points for the bun, 0 for the fish (blue), 0 for the carrot fries, the tartar sauce is 0.

A healthy 4 point version of a 23 point fast food sandwich with fries.

Man... this WW ‘diet’ sure is hard.

The carrot fries are in here (I didn’t use parmesan or oil in this batch): [https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/Cookbook3/CB3_SidesSaladsBonusForWeb.pdf](https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/Cookbook3/CB3_SidesSaladsBonusForWeb.pdf) on pg 106

The fish sandwich recipe is here:

[https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/dishes/burgers&sandwiches/CrispyFishSandwich.pdf](https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/dishes/burgers&sandwiches/CrispyFishSandwich.pdf)

The breading is in:

[https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/dishes/foundations/foundations_breading2.pdf](https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/dishes/foundations/foundations_breading2.pdf)

(Greenies, use egg whites)

Best part.. this is WW. If I wanted to have that 23 point fast food meal, I COULD HAVE! I’d just eat low point food the rest of the day.

What other weight loss system tells you that’s ok? Lol

-note:

It also would have been hard to get that cod sandwich at wendys anyways... because they only have it during lent season loo

Also, the breading on the fish is a liiiiitle dark lol

Baked it juuuust a little too long.

Super simple Blue Cheese dressing recipe.
Yields 1/4 cup, 1 point on all 3 plans.
(small batch)

Ingredients:
* 2-1/2 Tbsp Greek Yogurt (looking out for the Green plan folks.
* 1 tsp light mayo
* 15 grams reduced fat blue cheese
* 1/3 clove garlic, crushed/minced
* 1 Tbsp white wine vinegar
* splash o' worcestershire sauce
* 1/8 tsp salt
* 1/8 tsp black pepper
* 1 tsp water (if needed), if you used a thicker greek yogurt, like fage or chibani.

- Stir it all together in a mug, allow it to sit for 30 minutes to 1 hour for the flavors to set. Done.

Note:
- If you don't want to use fresh garlic, you can use 1/4 tsp garlic powder, but the flavor of the dressing won't be as awesome.

- If you can't find reduced fat Blue Cheese, you can use regular blue cheese, up to 10 grams, for 1 point. Which is roughly 1 Tbsp.

- I've been posting a ton of small single serving dressing recipes in Connect the past week or two, with quick little videos showing myself tossing them together. Not sure if I should post videos, or just pictures with text recipes in here.

Just finished revising and updating all of the salad dressing and dips recipes from Cookbook 2. A lot of the ingredients have had their point values slightly changed, by WW, over the past year. I realized a few dsys ago that my listed points for dressings and dips in cookbook 2 were off, so I had to try and remake all of them, to get the points back down.

The newly revised recipes wre at the following link:
Salad Dressings:
https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/CB2sections/Cookbook2_Dressings_12-4-19.pdf

Dips:
https://www.theguiltfreegourmet.net/CB2sections/Cookbook2_Dips_12-4-19.pdf

All recipes and points are up to date, as of 8-25-20.
For anyone that just purchased a copy of cookbook 2, sorry. You can either write the differences into the pages of your book, or return it to amazon and say there was a problem with the printing. Pretty much every dressing and dip had yo be reworked.

Going to look at the desserts next.

I finally uploaded it to my website. Here is my WW-ified version of Ina Garten's famous potato salad, from The Food Network. Through ingredient swaps, I was able to get it down to 2 points for a 3/4 cup serving on Green and Blue.... and 0 points for up to 2-1/4 cups on Purple. Though.... I don't recommend eating 2-1/4 cups simply because it's low point lol.
Each Serving has 100 calories and 0.5g fat.

24/08/2020

This recipe is for a small, low point batch of Tartar Sauce. It yields 1/2 cup, which is more than enough for 1 person to dunk lil cooked fishies in with reckless abandon! Take that, Aquaman!

My regular tartar sauce recipe makes 2 or 2-1/4 cups, I can't remember... but it's a lot for if you're just by yourself and don't need that much, so... here'ya go. It's 1 point for folks on green, because of the Greek yogurt, it's 0 points for blue and purple, which is pretty danged good for a 1/2 cup of tartar sauce.

There’s a tiny bit of light mayo in it. I tried making tartar sauce with Greek yogurt only.... and it just didn't taste right. And with only making a 1/2 cup batch, you actually do get a tiny hint of mayo from that 1 tsp.

If you have access to sugar free sweet relish, go ahead and use that instead of dill (I use dill relish in my recipe). None of the stores around me have sugar free sweet relish, which is why I use dill relish with a touch of sweetener added to it. If you don’t have fresh dill (it’s CHEAP in the produce department at the store), you can try using 1/2 tsp dried dill... but it won’t taste the same.

Ok, with that out of the way.... here's the recipe.

**** Small Batch Tartar Sauce ****
Yields: 1/2 cup
Points:
Green: 1
Blue & Purple: 0

Ingredients:
* 7 Tbsp Plain fat free Greek yogurt
* 1 tsp light mayonnaise
* 2 tsp dill relish
* 1 Tbsp FINELY diced onion.
* 1/2 tsp finely chopped fresh dill
* 1/2 tsp 0 point sweetener o' choice
* 1/8 tsp salt
* 1/8 to 1/4 tsp black pepper (to taste)
* 1 tsp lemon juice
* 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
* 1 tsp water

Directions:
1. Stir it all together till well mixed.
2. Dunk cooked fishies in it. Or, if you want to traumatize your toddlers, dunk their toy Bubble Guppies in it. Bye bye Gill & Nonny.

3 point ‘hot dog’ in a regular bun, on blue/purple. This’d be 4 on green because of the meat. So... I showed in a post (in Connect) last week how to easily scoop out a little bread from the top bun of a store bought 4 point burger bun, to make it into a 3 point bun by weight (grams). Figured I’d try the same thing with a store bought 4 point hot dog bun today.

I wanted a snack, and I had some of the leftover raw kafta ground turkey in the fridge. Figured I’d make a “hot dog” version of the burger I posted for lunch.

I took some of the raw meat, laid it onto plastic wrap, and pressed/rolled in the plastic wrap, so it was a uniform cigar shape. Set aside.

I took a 4 point hot dog bun out of the cabinet, scanned it to pull it up in the app, then looked at how much it’d have to weigh, in grams, to become 3 points. It turns out... I wouldn’t have to remove much. Just a few grams.

I scooped a little bread out of the top bun, weighed it, instant full sized 3 point hot dog bun. (Left pic)

I cooked the 0 point meat ‘cigar’ (boy that sounds yummie) in s a pan. Spread 1 Tbsp of my hummus on the bottom bun, covered with some leftover green leaf lettuce, then put the ‘hot dog’ on it.

Put some pickled red onions on the top bun, then drizzled 0 point spiced ketchup on it.

3 point fancy ‘faux dog’, 3 points, for the bun. (On blue/purple)

PS: yes... i KNOW THERE ARE 2 point bun brands! Lol
None of the stores around me sell them. 😉

PSS: REMOVE THE PLASTIC WRAP before you cook the meat.... 🙄🤦‍♂️

After finally joining a couple of Facebook 'recipe groups', using my regular name, just to try and personally share recipes with people (not as the guilt free gourmet). People asking about pasta, I mention a low point pasta guide, how I've used it to make low point fresh pasta, then post the link for them. People ask what you're favorite Asian dish is... I post a picture of my Singapore noodles, then add a link to the recipe page. People ask about advice... I post a link to the FREE digital cookbooks, and mention that the site has no ads, banners, pop ups, product referral link, email subscriptions... nothing, 100% advertisement free. Dear Lord.... You'd think I was trying to offer these people a jar of kool aid laced with battery acid. lol

Nobody ever responds, nobody ever clicks a thumbs up, but they all reply to fake 'low point' recipes that people are posting, where they SAY it's a 5 point per serving dish, but is really 33 points, and everyone's all "omg that sounds delicious!"

The group administrators are constantly posting links to THEIR guides, for new members.. that you have to purchase. I'm trying to help people out with free recipe and FREE COOKBOOK DOWNLOADS in these groups.... and you'd think I'm skinning puppies on TV.

I've also realized that most of the people who post "ww recipes" on their blogs.... don't ACTUALLY COOK THEM. They all seem to recycle recipes from skinnytaste, emilybites, or other places... use other people's pictures, then simply copy and past the original recipes onto their blogs and take credit for the recipes. Though they probably never even actually cooked hardly any of them.

Umm.... is this all pretty common in weight watchers recipe groups in Facebook? Are there actually any DECENT ones out there? Heck, I was in one for a couple days, where it turned out one of the most prolific recipe poster-dude's, isn't even IN WEIGHT WATCHERS. His points are horribly inaccurate, and he just uses an online tool to try and convert regular recipes to WW points.... and they are all off by a lot. Are you guys in any good groups? Would love to join a couple as just.... regular me, not TGFG. heh.

Hi everyone. Just an FYI:
Over the past year, WW has updated the points values for various ingredients (obviously), so as a result, I just started checking into all of the current recipes/point values for all the dressings and dips in cookbook 2.

I just started looking into any adjustments in the points, to see what has gone up, and tweaking whatever I have too, to make sure the points are accurate. Just started today, will only be able to check a few per day, due to the distance learning stuff with kids... but I should have them all checked, verified and updated if needed, by the end of this coming week.

As soon as all the recipes are checked, I’ll update the free downloads on the website and update the book on Amazon.

Anyone who has the book download, just download the new version and delete the old one. Anyone who already owns a physical copy of the book... you can open up the digital version off my site, then just mark the changes in your book.

The primary changes that are affecting things, are the poi t values changed slightly for sugar free syrup (pancake syrup), light mayonnaise, and a few others. Some things that had points at 2 Tbsp, now let you have 3 Tbsp for 0... stuff like that.

So, I just started looking over all the dressings and dips in cookbook 2. Will let’ya all know when it’s updated.

Blue/Purple: 1 point

Yup, you read that right.
Rather than deep frying chicken thighs, we’re breading chunks of chicken breast in my low point breading recipe v2, then baking till crispy.

The breaded/baked chunks then get glazed with my low point orange glaze, and garnished with toasted sesame seeds.

Stretch the serving size even more by serving with steamed broccoli.
