𝐍𝐕𝐁𝐒𝐏-𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝟒𝟖𝟔 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐬

The Department of Health Ilocos Center for Health Development, through its National Voluntary Blood Services Program (NVBSP) conducted a blood donation advocacy campaign last July 16 at Rosario Integrated School (RIS), Rosario, La Union which was participated by 486 grade 11 senior high students.

As part of the campaign, the NVBSP team facilitated an interactive game show titled "Sino ang Type Mo?" which featured questions and brief discussions about blood donation to increase awareness among the students. Free blood typing services were also provided during the advocacy

The team was welcomed by Dr. Alicia F. Aprecio, RIS School Principal, and Dr. Jesusa A. Viluan, Assistant Principal, represented by Pamela O. Gutierrez, Master Teacher II, along with other faculty members.

As part of National Blood Donors' Month, DOH Ilocos CHD through National Voluntary Blood Services Program will conduct a School-Based Health Advocacy for Senior High Students at Rosario Integrated School, Rosario, La Union on July 16, 2025.

Free Blood Typing will also be offered. This activity is the second of the series of Health Advocacies to be conducted in selected schools of La Union.

DOH Ilocos Center for Health Development through its NVBSP subunit conducted a blood donation campaign to over 900 grade 11 and 12 senior high students at Doña Francisca Lacsamana de Ortega Memorial National High School (DFLOMNHS), Bangar, La Union last July 11.

The school Pavilion roared as the students actively played NVBSP's unorthodox advocacy which was in the form of a game show--Sino ang Type Mo?

The gameshow consisted of questions about blood donation and included short discussions after revealing the answer. Free blood typing was also conducted alongside the advocacy.

The team was welcomed by Dr. Jina Escobar, senior high school prinicipal as represented by Dr. Ronald June Balsomo, senior high school assistant and OIC principal.

𝐃𝐎𝐇 𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐃 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐁𝐃𝐬

In celebration of the National Blood Donors Month, two Institution-Based Mobile Blood Donation (MBD) activities were simultaneously conducted at CSI The City Mall La Union and Robinsons Mall La Union by the Department of Health Ilocos Center for Health Development (DOH Ilocos CHD) through National Voluntary Blood Services Program last July 5.

A total of 17 blood units were voluntarily donated by both regular and first-time, non-remunerated blood donors from the two malls.
Alongside the MBD was also the conduct of free blood typing to all mall goers.

This initiative aimed to promote voluntary blood donation in accessible public spaces and ensure adequate and safe blood supply for patients in need.

𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐃𝐑🩸𝐏 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘: 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞

Sir Rey is a 2nd-time donor and his partner, Miss Carla is a 1st time donor. Both of them went for a grocery at the CSI the City Mall, San Fernando, La Union when they saw the conduct of Mobile Blood Donation at the mall ground floor. Together, they registered and were successfully bled.

Thank you Sir Rey and Miss Carla for extending your love to those in need.
