A reminder for those that need it - Your yoga practice doesn’t always need to be on a mat. It can be found in the smallest, simplest of moments. As I tell my students, the real practice is bringing what we learn on the mat into everyday 💛
Taking a moment to pause, a moment of stillness and quiet. Feeling your feet on the floor when you walk, noticing the sounds around you. Taking a few deep breaths when you notice feelings of stress creep up and into your shoulders, neck and jaw.
The biggest part of the journey is noticing. Noticing when your thoughts and actions are on autopilot. Notice when you click on a social media app without even thinking about it. Notice your thoughts when you first wake up. Notice all the multi tasking that you do in a day - all the things that make us human. But remembering that we can also pause. And to be able to pause, we first need to notice.
