Beatiful testimony and teaching! It really helps! Dear reader, I just want to remind you that even though God does act in supernatural ways and visions with some people, he deals with people in diferent ways: Some People receive visions, while others receive a supernatural revelations when they read the Bible, and this happens even while we are still under attack. Somehow, learn to ignore the intrusive thoughts. Bear in mind while you watch the video that he mentions the importance of Bible reading. Dont think you have to wait until the "intrusive thoughts go away". And be patient! It's a process! If the intrusive thoughts come while you read the Bible, just continúe reading. Press on reading, wait, dont stop reading even if the intrusive thoughts continúe. Finally, dont forget to start reading the Bible in the right place. Dont read the Bible in a legalistic way. Reading verses about the love o God is a good place to start. The Holy Spirit is with you, even when you don't feel it. Just believe it! When you read the Bible he is with you!

SOBRIETY, COMING TO THE END OF OURSELVES
Sometimes it's important and necessary to admit that we are not perceiving things correctly. Sometimes it's important and necessary to come to the end of ourselves and and admit that ocd has affected our ability to perceive reality. I'm not saying that we should shame ourselves or tell ourselves that we are crazy. What I'm saying is that many times we need to reach that level of humility in which we are able to look for help! Besides, when we come to the end of ourselves we realize that our reaction to what we fear, whether it's germs, intrusive thoughts or ruminating about imaginary threats is not based on reality. We need to reach that level of humbleness in which we say: "What I'm feeling is not based on reality" and " ocd is temporarily distorting my ability to perceive things correctly".
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I need your help. I admit that ocd is affecting my abilty to perceive things correctly, please help me to be patient with myself and to admit that what I'm feeling is based on ocd not reality. Help me overcome my fears! Hrlp me to see that I don't have to be afraid of my thoughts or my feelings because you love me. Amén!

When I was in college, I suffered a severe attack of intrusive thought-related OCD. It was so intense that I had to temporarily drop out of school. Later that year, in gracious answer to the prayers of family and friends, God healed me of OCD. He did it entirely through His Word! Whenever it has tri...

SOBRIETY; THE IMPORTANCE OF SURRENDERING
Most people who start experiencing OCD symptoms try to neutralize intrusive thoughts through fighting or through avoiding everything that may trigger the intrusive thoughts. The problem with that is that people with OCD become obsessed with the fear of having intrusive thoughts and they end up spending many hours fighting or avoiding them. When we surrender to the fact that our approach is not working and that we need to change, only then we become sober and we can then pray to God with humbleness and say:" Lord, I can't stop the thoughts and I can't prevent them from popping up into my mind. I let go of the need to fight them or avoid them and I will trust you that you will receive me, help me and save me in spite of the presence of the thoughts in my mind." Strangely enough, when we die to our dream of having perfect thoughts, only when we give up our hope of preventing the thoughts, only then, we let go of our struggle and learn to trust Jesus, only then will we see the thoughts diminish their grip on us.
