This page is a platform for people with an interest in Neuromuscular, Mitochondrial and Metabolic disorders in a quest to chase down science to aid the diagnosis of rare diseases. Hopefully here those looking for diagnostic answers can network with others around the world, including researchers, patients and medical professionals for the collective good. This page has been started by an ordinary Mum, with no medical training or money (so don't sue me) desperately searching for answers for her own child's undiagnosed disorder, and in that process hopes to help others in the same situation find their own answers.

Hey guys, Mel here. How do you feel in your body right now? Have you ever felt confused about what to eat and what NOT to eat as you’re battling an autoimmune or chronic condition? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Have you ever thought: “OMG, why is this so hard!” Or I don’t know what to believe anymore!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most people living with chronic pain are shooting in the dark when it comes to meal planning… they spend way too much energy and money in preparing “supposedly healthy” foods or just give up altogether thinking it won’t make a difference.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Trust me, I‘ve been there (arghhh). So, if you have ever struggled to understand your condition and what you can eat to boost your immunity, then you know EXACTLY what I mean. ⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, HOW do you know what foods to eat to give your body a fair go? That was my question and that’s when I met Dr Heather Way – a world known expert, who has been helping me understand what I can do about my autoimmune condition. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
SPOILER ALERT: The reason we get sick is a combo of genetic + lifestyle/environment. As a certified nutrigenomist, Dr Heather helps people like me daily make up for a bad heredity. So, I’ve asked her if she’d do a series of 4 FREE events and she said YES! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How do you get in? Easy peasy! Join us here live tomorrow, Friday 8am AEST (or if you can’t, watch the re-broadcast and comment/share if that was helpful). We’ll cover a new topic every Friday and release the top Q&As that Dr Heather hears all the time at the clinic. We’ll show you what I do from Dr Heather’s kitchen. This week’s topic: 3 foods to avoid and what to replace them with. 😍

Can’t wait to see you there! Mel X
