Squirrel patrol with Lucy 😁
Henry is always a bit restless after anesthesia and he walked around the house last evening before settling down. He was happy to eat dinner and take his medication wrapped in cheese. He gets E collar breaks when I’m with him and can watch the incision area. No running or jumping for 2 weeks and outside only on leash. That’s the hard part! Bodhi seems to understand and is not inviting play or stealing toys and running around the house with them! Goober! All ok. Thank you so much for the love and good wishes 😁💙

Henry is out of surgery and did well under sedation. The mass was a bit more vascular than expected so best to remove and send to pathology. Picking him up in a few hours. All ok 💙 He will be reunited with best friend Lucy soon.

Henry is doing well. The itching and bumps on his muzzle are improving with medication. He’s scheduled for small mass removal under sedation tomorrow. There may be a bath in his future tonight. I’m going to get “the look” tomorrow morning when breakfast is held. Better to remove whatever this is when it’s small. He will be in great hands 💙

There were lots of fireworks this year and they were loud. Henry has always slept through fireworks largely due to the desensitization tapes Tracy plays in the puppy room at the SBR Ranch. This year was different. Henry was anxious even with the TV up, windows shut, and all of us sharing the same room. There was panting, restlessness, and digging in his bed He settled down when the noise stopped I spoke with Dr Yuh this morning. Henry is 8 1/2 and just like humans dogs change over time. I will have a prescription sedative on hand as needed for New Years and the next July 4th celebration. As for Bodhi, he slept through them like Henry always did.

Hello Friends. Henry has an infection on his muzzle (mostly yeast, very itchy) and evaluated by our awesome Folsom Ranch Veterinary Hospital team this morning. Bodhi will be stepping up to fill in for Henry at Kaiser Roseville tomorrow which he is really excited about! Henry also has a small lump on his hind leg that will be removed under sedation on Thursday. It was bleeding so the decision to remove is best. We are extremely grateful to Dr Yuh and the FRVH team for always taking great care of these guys.
