All Allied Health Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe should be compliant by the 31st of March 2026 as prescribed by the Health Professions Act Chapter 27:19. It is illegal for a health practitioner to practice without a valid practising certificate.

- to issue registration and practising certificates to allied health practitioners
- to monitor and supervise the training of allied health practitioners
- to accredit the qualifications of allied health professions
- to set standards of ethics, practice and discipline
