Perfectionism is not about achievement and growth.

Perfectionism is the belief that if we live perfectly, look perfectly, and act perfectly, we can avoid the blame, judgement, and shame.
Healthy striving focuses on you. It occurs when you ask yourself, "How can I improve?"

Perfectionism keeps the focus on others. It occurs when you ask “What will they think?"

Repeat the following “There's a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in."

There is evidence to suggest that persons whom have experienced childhood tend to have more perceived experiences as adults than those who did not experience trauma. My book takes a look at this phenomenon and offers a different perspective than the traditional viewpoint that these experiences are akin to psychosis. No, you're not crazy.

"When it comes to differentiating paranormal experiences from natural occurrences, the best course of action always is to provide the person with a supportive environment and to help make meaning of the experience. At the end of the day, the person, not you, has to live with their “ghosts”."
