The Broward County Drowning Prevention Task Force is dedicated to protect children from drowning and aquatic related injuries and disabilities.
Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death among children under the age of 5. The Broward County Drowning Prevention Task Force was formed to increase public awareness to keep children safer in and around water. Our focus is on the Safer 3 approach: Safer Water, Safer Kids and Safer Response. Through our members and community partners, collectively, our efforts support comprehensive educational programs to ensure ongoing information is communicated to fulfill our vision to achieve and sustain a drowning rate of zero.
