Do you have plans this June!? Join the TFI team during the American Lung Association, Fight for Air Climb at Soldier Field!!

🫁 Register to join the TFI team by this Friday (02/09) for the early bird discount of $15!! Then, if you want to complete the climb, raise a minimum of $150 by asking friends and family to donate to the American Lung Association!! All proceeds go to research to fight for the cure of lung disease.

We would love to spend time with you getting our steps in and a great workout at the great Soldier Field!!

Meet Joe. He’s 80 years young and had a right reverse shoulder replacement surgery a little over three months ago. He’s been working extra hard in physical therapy every step along the way at TFI to get his arm functioning again. 🟢 We love what we do here at The FIT Institute and all month long we will be highlighting different PT services along with some fun content for you !
🔵 The PT profession started back in the 1800s and specifically the term “physiotherapy” was coined in 1851! In the US, physical therapy was used during the polio epidemic in the 20th century to evaluate patient’s function who were suffering with the disease.
🟢 PTs were then used highly during WWI to help treat war casualties. Back then, majority of physical therapists were women.
🔵 Mary McMillan was the first elected president of the American Physical Therapy Association - but back then, it was called the American Women’s Physical Therapeutic Association.
