Yogis in Service Yogis in Service's Mission is create access to connection-- to self, others, and community- through yoga practice and the stress management tools of yoga. YIS.

We Are the Village. Peace Love Buffalo. Yogis in Service (YIS) is a non-profit dedicated to bringing yoga to those who do not have access. This involves teaching yoga, assisting yoga classes, supporting teachers and assistants with before and after class activities, web page support, fundraisers, etc.. There are many ways to help. We do not, and will not, compete with yoga studios. We will bring t

he cognitive, emotional, and physical tools accessible through a regular yoga practice to others. We feel that lives can change with access to the space between stimulus and response as illustrated by this quote:

We are seeking adult yoga students, yoga teachers, and yoga therapists to share their experiences through a 15-minute survey and would be so grateful if you could participate. This study is the first of its kind, and the more perspectives that contribute, the clearer the path forward to informing the provision of safe, trauma-informed hands-on assists in yoga settings.

Hi YIS Community ,

We are excited to invite you to walk with us in the 2024 Juneteenth parade! Come celebrate African American heritage with us!

PARADE AND MEET-UP INFO
The parade is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 at Genesee St. and the festival will be held at MLK Jr. Park
The parade starts at 10:00 AM (meet up at 8:3o-ish). Meet up near Genesee Street and Colorado street intersection!

If you have YIS gear, please where it! If you have the white YIS T-shirt- wear that! Also, being with us in your best Juneteenth wear would also be wonderful!

PARKING
Suggested parking areas before, during, and after the parade- Fougeron Street, Girard Place, Riley Street, Urban Street, or Fillmore Avenue. East Community High School Parking is also available.

SHUTTLE
Shuttle locations- Fillmore and Fougeron streets and Genesee ad Doat streets for boarding or departing along various side streets between the beginning and end of the parade route starting at about 8:00 AM June 15th.
