CPD Event title: EBSA – WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WITH EMOTIONALLY BASED SCHOOL AVOIDANCE – One Day Course live via Zoom
Brief Description Of Event:
For Hypnotherapists, Practitioners, Psychotherapists and Healthcare Professionals.
Students in Hypnotherapy are also welcome.
An expert in this field, your Trainer Julie May is an International Presenter on the subject of EBSA who has presented at the UKHC (the UK Hypnosis Convention) for the past three years consecutively, as well as across Europe.
During the CPD, we’ll take a deep dive into EBSA, EMOTIONALLY BASED SCHOOL AVOIDANCE:
What is EBSA and how can we as Hypnotherapists and Hypnotists help

How does EBSA affect young people in education up to age 21 and beyond?
Neurodivergence including ADHD and Autism, and EBSA.
Working with ODD (oppositional defiant disorder) and PDA (pathological demand avoidance).
Who and how can we help – the client, the parents and schools.
How does our work with EBSA differ from our usual client work with young people?
There will be demonstrations showing exactly how we use hypnosis and hypnotic techniques here.
You’ll learn to work more fluidly than ever!
Lots of solution focused questions and miracle questions to help our young clients
The art and construct of particular language to support these clients
And all these new skills are transferable, so you can use them straight away with other clients, including adults.
New tools and techniques for your tool kit!
Including some rapid inductions that work really well with children and young people, both online and in person.
I’ll show you all this and more, with the very latest research, statistics, and a variety of case studies.

EBSA affects 20% of young people in education consistently, yet figures show it affects 33% of young people in education at any time.
If you’re looking to grow your business, this may be the largest growing sector needing our help, and it continues to grow, exponentially.
We need more qualified hypnotherapists, hypnotists and therapists working in this area!
Learning Objectives:

You will learn what EBSA is and how we can help young clients with EBSA.
Together with gaining a deeper understanding of neurodivergence, oppositional defiant disorder and pathological demand avoidance.
You’ll gain a good understanding of how to work in a paid capacity with parents and schools. What this entails. Together with when it’s appropriate, and when it isn’t.
You’ll learn and understand what type of hypnosis works very well with clients with EBSA, both in Sessions with us, and at home, including for better self-regulation.
As well as what type of hypnosis isn’t as effective.
You’ll learn rapid inductions that work excellently here. Live demonstrations will allow you to see these in practice.
You’ll gain a deep understanding of the very latest research and statistics, together with the practical know how.
You will come away from the Training day feeling confident and ready to work in this fast-growing area, with plenty of new tools and skills, together with lots of professional knowledge on the subject.

CPD Event title: AI for Therapists – From Prompts to Profitable Content – Online, self-paced
Brief Description Of Event:
AI for Therapists: From Prompts to Profitable Content is a self-paced professional course for therapists, counsellors, hypnotherapists, and wellbeing practitioners who are curious about using AI but want to do so in a way that still feels ethical, grounded, and aligned with their real work.
Many practitioners are exploring AI but find the results often sound generic, overly sales-focused, or disconnected from how they actually work with clients. This course shows you how to guide AI clearly so it becomes a supportive assistant rather than something that replaces your voice.
Across seven structured modules, you will learn how to clarify your marketing identity, create content that connects without pressure, use email to nurture relationships, build sustainable content rhythms, and understand how consistent communication leads to trust, enquiries, and income.
The focus throughout is on clarity, consistency, and integrity. AI is used as a thinking partner to support reflection and expression, not to replace your professional voice.
The course is delivered through written modules designed for quiet study and reflection. There is no time limit on access, allowing you to move through the material at a pace that fits your workload and energy.
This course is suitable for self-directed CPD. Completion may be logged as up to 7 hours of verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with individual professional requirements. The course is not formally accredited, and CPD recording remains the responsibility of the practitioner.
You do not need to change how you work in order to grow. You need clarity, confidence, and language that reflects the value of what you already do.
Course Content
This course includes:
• 7 structured learning modules
• Downloadable professional manual
• Master prompt guide
• Two practical bonus resources
• Certificate of completion
• Self-paced learning with no time limit

07 August, 2026 – Working with Alcohol and Drug Use in Hypnotherapy Practice

CPD Event title: Working with Alcohol and Drug Use in Hypnotherapy Practice
Brief Description Of Event:
A Half-Day Zoom Workshop for Hypnotherapists and Students
Clearer boundaries. Better questions. Safer practice. Date: August 07, 2026. Time: 09:30 – 13.00 BST
Would you know how to respond if a client disclosed that alcohol or drug use had become part of the way they cope, switch off, get through the week, or manage difficult emotions?
Many hypnotherapists will encounter clients where alcohol or drug use is part of the wider presenting picture, yet this is an area many practitioners still feel unsure about when it comes to working confidently and appropriately within the scope of hypnotherapy practice.
This practical and thought-provoking half-day workshop has been created to help hypnotherapists and students feel clearer and more confident when alcohol or drug use shows up in the therapy room.
This is not a workshop about detox, rehab, or working outside your role. Instead, it is designed to help you understand where hypnotherapy can genuinely support change, how to work more effectively with these presentations, and what to look out for when habits, urges, routines, emotional coping, or dependency-related patterns are present.
Drawing from an integrative and solution focused hypnotherapy perspective, this training will explore how to work with the underlying patterns that can keep clients stuck, including repetition, relief-seeking, shame, avoidance, and behavioural loops.
You will also gain a simple and practical understanding of why alcohol and drug use can become so difficult to shift, including the role of habit, reward, learned association, emotional regulation, and the brain’s tendency to repeat what brings short-term relief or escape.
Throughout the workshop, we will stay grounded in clear, realistic, and professional practice, helping you feel more confident in how to approach this area in a way that is useful, thoughtful, and appropriate.
You will also receive a pre-workshop workbook to help you begin thinking about the topic before the day, along with a large post-workshop resource pack filled with step-by-step explanations, tools, techniques, what is useful to say to clients, language patterns, guidance, and useful resources to support your learning afterwards.
Work More Confidently Within Scope
Gain clarity on what is appropriate to work with as a hypnotherapist when alcohol or drug use is involved, and feel more confident in how to approach these conversations and presentations.
Understand the Pattern Beneath the Behaviour
Explore why people can become stuck in cycles of use, including habit loops, reward, relief, emotional coping, and the role of repetition.
Know What to Look For
Learn what to pay attention to during the initial consultation, including patterns, red flags, and the wider picture that may be sitting behind the presenting issue.
Use Solution Focused and Integrative Tools More Effectively
Discover practical ways to structure sessions, ask better questions, and use hypnosis more effectively when working with urges, routines, coping patterns, and behavioural repetition.
Leave With Tools You Can Use Straight Away
Come away with practical ideas, therapeutic language, clinical guidance, techniques, and resources that can support your work in both online and face-to-face practice.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, you will have a clearer understanding of:

What is and is not appropriate to work with as a hypnotherapist.
How to recognise red flags and when extra support may be needed.
How to structure the initial consultation when alcohol or drug use is disclosed.
How to use solution focused questioning more effectively in this area.
How to work with urges, routines, coping patterns, and future change using hypnotherapy.
How to use language and therapeutic tools that support change without confrontation or shame.
How to feel more confident and grounded when this kind of presentation appears in practice.

What We’ll Cover
* The difference between habit, coping pattern, harmful use, addiction, and dependency.
* How alcohol and drug use can become linked with relief, avoidance, identity, and repetition.
* The role of the brain, reward, and emotional regulation in repeated use.
* What to notice and explore during the initial consultation.
* Solution focused questions that are genuinely useful in this work.
* Why shame, secrecy, and all-or-nothing thinking can keep clients stuck.
* Hypnotherapy approaches for urges, routines, future self-work, and behavioural change.
* Language patterns and therapeutic phrasing that support change without confrontation.
* Practical ideas to take straight into your client work.
Who Is This Workshop For?
This half-day workshop is suitable for:

About your tutor
As a younger adult, Vicki struggled with anxiety and low mood and first discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy when seeking help for herself. It literally changed her life and well-being in so many positive ways that she decided to become qualified as a hypnotherapist herself, training at CPHT Brighton, and has since then assisted hundreds of families through their grief journey. This includes helping children to cope with and process loss, enabling them to understand and regain more control of their feelings and to develop positive coping strategies.
Although grief is a specialist area, Vicki is dedicated to helping others make positive change and works with a wide range of other concerns such as anxiety, stress, trauma, depression and low confidence/self esteem. She is a member of the Youth Fairy team.

CPD Event title: Fertility
Brief Description Of Event:
This CPD supports clients facing emotional and psychological challenges of conception difficulties, for couples, solo parents, same-sex couples, and both male and female fertility.
This Fertility CPD for Hypnotherapists is designed to help practitioners confidently support clients who are navigating the emotional and physical challenges of trying to conceive. The training explores the benefits of hypnotherapy in supporting fertility, helping clients reduce stress and gently restore the mind–body balance needed for conception. You will gain a deeper understanding of the emotional impact of the Trying to Conceive (TTC) journey, including the monthly cycle of hope and disappointment, and learn how to compassionately support clients through grief, uncertainty, and the strain fertility difficulties can place on relationships.
Throughout the course, you will develop a clear understanding of the terminology and processes involved in both natural and assisted conception, including common fertility challenges affecting both men and women. The CPD provides an overview of reproductive physiology, the menstrual cycle, and the factors that support a fertile state, as well as the organic and lifestyle factors that may contribute to infertility. You will also explore current statistics around fertility and birth rates in the UK, alongside an overview of the medical and non-medical options available for assisted conception through the NHS, private clinics, and natural approaches.
In addition, the course highlights how hypnotherapy can support clients undergoing fertility treatment by helping them return to a calmer “feed and breed” state, where hormonal balance and reduced stress support overall wellbeing. You will also explore the connection between the gut–brain axis and stress, and how reducing anxiety can positively influence physical health. The training recognises the diverse experiences of clients, including same-sex couples and single parents by choice, ensuring practitioners feel confident supporting people from all backgrounds on their unique fertility journey.

⭐ 09 October, 2026 – Supporting Perimenopause and Menopause

CPD Event title: Supporting Perimenopause and Menopause
Brief Description Of Event:
This CPD builds knowledge to support clients through perimenopause and menopause, explaining hormonal effects on mind and body, with strategies to restore balance and wellbeing.
During the CPD, we explore how changes in reproductive hormones can affect mood, sleep, stress levels, and overall well-being. You will learn about the connection between hormones and the brain, and why this stage of life can sometimes bring challenges such as anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, and disrupted sleep, and how regaining balance will benefit the women in your clinic.
Understanding what is happening in your body can be incredibly empowering. With the right knowledge and support, women can begin to reduce stress and anxiety, improve their sleep, and regain a greater sense of calm, control, and confidence. Many women experience changes in their emotional well-being during this time of life. In fact, women are significantly more likely than men to experience common mental health challenges, particularly during periods of hormonal change.
Recognising the role hormones can play helps remove blame and self-criticism, allowing women to approach this phase with greater self-compassion. Through supportive, solution-focused hypnotherapy techniques, women can learn practical ways to manage symptoms such as anxiety, overwhelm, sleep disturbances, low mood, and reduced confidence. The aim is to help clients develop resilience, reconnect with their inner strength, and move forward feeling calmer, clearer, and more in control.
This approach focuses on helping clients understand their mind and body while supporting them in creating positive change, enabling them to navigate perimenopause and menopause with greater ease and well-being.
Course Content
During this CPD, we will look at:

Perimenopause (Including Premature Ovarian Failure -POI)
