Virtual breathwork journey for the full moon in spring ⚡️🌕🌿

The energy of the spring is tenacious- there’s a vibrant energy that pairs with seeds being planted in the soil. The risk of frost now being behind us, and wild blooms coming to life 💗

This energy echoes deep in many of our hearts 💗

As the earth’s water tables are heightened at the fullest phase of the moon, our emotions are too, and some would say, intuitive connections also ✨

The full moon has a way of stirring up a lot from within. She has the capacity to shine a light on so much that might typically be hidden from sight ⚡️

Often, this phase of the lunar cycle is associated with completion and release, which also signals the beginning of the next phase where we turn inwards, reflect and refine.

In this breathwork journey, we will be creating space for the tenacious energy of spring, and looking to what within needs tending to in order to grow.

What cycles in our lives have been fully expressed, have served their purpose, and what might want to be released…

On May 23rd, at 4:30pm PST we breathe.

Using the archetypal wisdom of our spring allies, frog and lilac to support personal growth ⤵️

Using archetypal wisdom has been one of my favourite reflective exercises in my journey of personal and development 🐸🪻

There’s something incredibly easeful, and beautiful about using the natural world as a mirror for our own experiences 🪞

Using nature as a mirror can be a doorway into our inner-landscape, and it incorporates the added benefit of grounding, simply because you’re in nature.

Win, win.

Here are some practical exercises for you to try this week, inspired by Lilac and Frog.

⚡️ Savour the fleeting moments - Allow for the littlest moments to feel really big and special. Allow yourself to full-body experience the sweetness of small.

There are so many moments in our day-to-day, that can be made into the captivating sensate of the lilac, and sometimes we need the reminder to practice savouring them.

⚡️ Give voice to your story, honour your transformation - Pick a change you’ve made that you’re proud of, and give voice to your journey of growth.

Ask a friend to witness your story, or (even better), tell your tale to a tree, or a frog. Unabashedly share your story, and be witnessed in doing so.

Honouring your transformation allows for a whole body savouring of those feel good emotions. Recognizing the good, creates space for more good to come.

How to you increase your self-worth without feeling selfish ⤵️

You first need to dig into the limiting belief of why prioritizing yourself makes you feel big and difficult emotions like guilt or shame.

Often there are stories and experiences that created this limiting belief.

Such as…

👉🏼 You were taught that you needed to be nice, even when someone hurt you, or made you uncomfortable.

Or…

👉🏼 Maybe you got really good at avoiding conflict out of necessity.

Learning the story of how limiting beliefs came to be helps you to unveil and understand the limiting belief more deeply, so that you can move through it more easily.

And moving beyond the upper-limit that your limiting belief created for you….

Means that you can deepen into your inner-knowing with confidence- shedding the worries that show up around prioritizing yourself.

Your step-by-step guide to befriend your limiting beliefs ⤵️

If you’re like me, you might be exhausted by the way folks push the ‘positive mindset’ narrative, because it can feel out of reach, unrealistic, and maybe, a little holier than thou.... if I’m being honest.

Navigating limiting beliefs, and negative internal chatter is a journey that I’m personally SO familiar with.

And honestly, affirmations, and telling myself that I don’t need to be thinking about that thing right now....and trying to mentally move on, has never really worked for me.

Some of the most effective ways of working with this mental chatter have actually come from years of being a therapist, and learning how to build rapport with folks.

👉🏼 Genuine Curiosity + Asking Questions- Truly being curious about where these narratives and stories are coming from.

Follow the cookie crumbs to the part of you that is feeling this way, and get curious about WHY this part is feeling this way.

Asking questions, and feeling how things land in your body as you do so.

And then...

👉🏼 Compassion + validation - Have compassion for this part of you that’s feeling this way, there’s a reason for it.

Give that part of you validation and understanding.

Instead of saying that you don’t need to be thinking about this thing right now… this part of you needs to feel held, and when it does feel validation- a softening will happen

And this takes practice, and sometimes an objective perspective to help get you started is necessary.

How to grow out of toxic relationship patterns ⤵️

If you’ve hit the point of exhaustion with toxic relationships, I hear you 🫶🏼

Constantly being on this rollercoaster of high-highs, and low-lows is exhausting.

And often toxic relationship patterns play out when there is one person (or both) in the relationship who has low self-esteem, and is willing to tolerate a lot more BS, based on their limiting beliefs. Feeling deep down, like some big part of them isn’t lovable or worthy of love.

And, if that’s you, the main piece of advice that I can offer to help prevent you from continuing to attract relationships with toxic patterns...

Is to learn how to listen to your inner-wisdom 💗

I know this sounds a little fluff, but it’s real. Finding a way to know yourself, I mean truly know yourself, will help you to build confidence, and self-worth.

And, THAT is going to be your ticket to solid, grounded, and loving relationships, without the patterns of chaos and hurt.

Knowing yourself, knowing your worth ✨

Feeling confident in who you are, and what you bring to a relationship will allow you to feel rooted, and unshakeable.

Which means, not needing to seek external validation from someone who might not be treating you all that great, settling, and second-guessing yourself as a love-worthy human.

You might be wondering how to listen to your inner-wisdom....

And that starts with turning inwards, strengthening your intuition, connecting with the source of your limiting beliefs, and learning how to move beyond the limits of these beliefs through mind + body practices like EMDR or Breathwork.

If you want to feel lovable and radiant, we need to STOP you from feeling like a burden in your relationships ⤵️

Every single time, I hear a woman say that she feels unlovable, I’m struck with a ‘What the F***’ kind of rage, because honestly, how this limiting belief came to be- wasn’t a her problem. And yet, now it is her ‘problem’ to process, and work through 🤬

Because healing relationship wounds is going to be one of the most sustainable and direct ways to feeling more lovable, increasing your self worth, and showing up radiant in your relationships.

And by radiant in your relationship... I mean, feeling in alignment with your desires, knowing who you are, and attracting a partner who is not going to make you second-guess yourself, or your self-worth 💗

By addressing your limiting beliefs of unworthiness, unlovability, or feeling like a burden, you are breaking free toxic relationship patterns.

And here’s how I help my clients do that:

⚡️ We dial in nervous system regulation and nourishment.

⚡️ Identify patterns and the parts of you that look outside of yourself for validation + uncover where those limiting beliefs are impacting and holding you back from flourishing

⚡️ We work through the limiting beliefs, by using methods that connect your head, heart and body

⚡️ And, once the limiting layers have been peeled back, you develop new, and better coping mechanisms + belief patterns that help you to flourish and be radiant within yourself, and your relationships

Your first step ⤵️

So the first thing that you need to do in order to be in a Radiant Relationship, is to learn how to show up in relationships knowing that you’re worthy of love….

Sounds simple right? 💗

And if this is a belief that you struggle with, I see you. This process starts with identify and unlearning the old negative beliefs that you have about yourself.

Because, many of us grew up in households, and in a society where we were praised/punished based on our ‘doing.’

👉🏼How we made other’s feel.
👉🏼How we contributed to the household.
👉🏼The grades we got.
👉🏼How well we did in sports.

And sometimes, that can make a person feel as though they are unlovable, or not worthy of praise/love, unless they are doing something to meet another’s perceived expectations.

And so the default mode can become ‘doing,’ as a way to secure love.

And, I’m not advocating that you stop doing nice things for others, but what I am saying, is that you need to learn when your doing is coming from a place of insecurity.

‘If I buy them this thing, they will love me more.’

Is a lot different from, ‘Aww, this thing made me think of them, and it would be a beautiful thing to surprise them with.’

The difference is subtle, but she’s fierce. And she’s also the ticket to knowing your worth, and knowing that you’re worthy of love.

What if you learned to overcome social anxiety?

Known fact: Suppressing your true self, and your true emotions leads to internal turmoil.

And, I know that faking it has got you this far, and this is a complicated and layered discussion… but what if you could take some steps towards feeling into those genuine feels, and walk towards processing the anxiety you feel?

By breaking the cycle of knee-jerk anxious conformity, you’re going to open up a whole world of possibilities.

So here’s a few ways to begin:

👉🏼 Seek support - sometimes it doesn’t feel safe to move through emotional experiences alone. Seek the support of a professional if you’re feeling this way. Someone who can hold you, and gently guide you.

👉🏼 Learn how to tune into your needs - What is my emotion trying to tell me? What is it that I need? Do I need to be heard, or feel seen? Are these needs causing me internal embarrassment, which makes it easier to push them away?

👉🏼 Learn how to be with yourself - yes, you might be rolling your eyes at me, but seriously. What happens when you take some deep breaths, and sit in stillness? What comes up for you?

The journey of embracing your emotions is also a journey of self-discovery. And remember that it’s so important to seek support when you need it 💗

By learning to be with yourself and your needs, you can begin to explore your emotions with curiosity rather than judgement, and you can cultivate a deeper connection with yourself, and begin to overcome anxiety.

Embracing your emotions is a powerful act of self-love, and self-care. Know that you are worthy of experiencing and expressing your emotions 🫶🏼
