Lead Therapist Liz is a first year student at the University of Gloucestershire studying Sports Therapy BSc, accredited by The Society of Sports Therapists. Having qualified to offer pitch side first aid and sports massage with over 90% in each module. She regularly works with some local pole schools offering massage and stretching advice to their students. Liz also shadows the lead physio at Witney Rugby Club to further expand her knowledge of different injuries and treatments. A sports massage is defined as a collection of techniques performed with the purpose of aiding recovery or treating pathology. Techniques used are effleurage, petrissage, tappotement and compressions/trigger pointing. Other techniques offered during treatments include MET/PNF stretching and soft tissue release.
