Christian Bale is nearing the completion of Together California, a $22 million foster care village in Palmdale, California, that has been roughly 17 years in the making.
The project specifically aims to prevent the separation of foster siblings, who are split up in approximately 75% of cases within the U.S. system.
Construction broke ground in February 2024. The buildings are expected to be completed in 2025, with the first families slated to move in by early 2026
Bale has described this effort as the "most important work" of his life, inspired by his desire to provide stability and family connection for vulnerable children.
