Food can affect your mood 💜🩵. Each fruit, vegetable, grain, spice and herb you eat can affect your body in a multitude of ways. Pain, headaches, and constant stomach issues are not normal and shouldn’t be treated as such. We live in a world that normalizes issues and treats symptoms. I am not a medical doctor and I cannot treat illnesses. I am able to give some solid nutrition and fitness advice. 💛✅.
In 2020, I just barely scratched the surface holistic wellness when I started using essential oils. As most new oil- users do, I went a little overboard thinking I had the time (😂) to make all of my shampoos, conditioners, and deodorant and other hygiene items from scratch - as it turns out, not only do I not have the time, I also do not have the space. BUT - nevertheless, the journey continued and I continued reading books, watching lectures and learning everything I could about wellness from natural sources. It truly is a journey. It’s not overnight that I was able to get away from synthetic fragrances, artificial food coloring and traditional over the counter medicines. It’s taken years, and it’s still happening.
Recently, as I was renewing my National Academy of Sports Medicine Certification for Personal Training, I decided to take the next step into being able to help my clients reach their goals in holistic health.
I have been a certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and Behavior Change Specialist for years and I am now happy to announce that I’m now certified in Nutrition for Life from the Institute for Integrated Nutrition. This course focuses on a creating a personalized approach to nutrition and wellness, through nutrition science, food as medicine, personalized eating and cooking at home.
I plan to continue this journey into holistic health as a lifelong learner. 🩷
