Lucky's not feeling well. Yesterday he was vomiting which he rarely does. We think either it was a bad batch of his specialty formula or his new medication. Lucky is on a new medication. His Neurologist added a second seizure med to help keep his seizures under control. We are on week #2 for weaning on. It's always challenging starting a new med. But we think it might have been the formula though that caused his upset stomach over the med.

We are getting closer to Lucky's big 10th Birthday!! We can't wait to celebrate his big day.

It's officially August!! That means it's Lucky's Birthday month!! It's not just his Birthday month, It's going to be his 10th Birthday! In the medical world 10 is a big deal, it's a big milestone to reach double digits. We are so proud of him and how far he's come from a teeny tiny 1 lb 11 ounce miracle.

Lucky had OT yesterday. He did ok, sitting up is definitely a struggle. Lucky has a dislocated hip and his spine is crooked to the left so sitting can be difficult. He did well though. Salem had to be apart of therapy too.

Lucky's Birthday theme is Dinosaurs and he's turning 10 on August 19th. His party is on the 23rd so it would be fun to have cards from his "crew" that we could open with him. Bought cards, homemade cards, drawings, stickers would be fun for his Birthday.

*Update *
Sweet boy is finally asleep. This seizure hit him differently, the seizure itself was less than 15 minutes but the aftermath of the rescue meds caused his heart rate to stay elevated and he couldn't fall asleep. It was a very long stressful night. Thankful we are equipped at home for his seizures. He did need some oxygen but not for long. Lucky's last seizure was in April. This is his 3rd seizure since going a whole year without one.

His nurse will be here today for a weekly check up.

We haven't updated on our fur baby yet. He's doing well with Lucky. He's learning boundaries though, he's learning to be a little more gentle with Lucky than he is with us. He can't just jump in Lucky's lap or spontaneously jump in his bed. With our fur baby Charlotte her and Lucky bonded since Lucky was a baby. Salem's around 8 months old so it's going to take some time but he has adjusted pretty well so far.

First off you don't need a filter when you're this beautiful with the light shinning on you!💙

Second this guy is turning 10 years old next month!!!!! Can you believe it? That means we've been doing Lucky's page for 10 years. 😲

Every Birthday is special, each one is a milestone. Unfortunately life expectancy can be shorter for children with severe medical complexities. We cherish each Birthday and we always try to celebrate and give him the best Birthday. This year is extra special it's his 10th Birthday! Double digits! When your baby starts off life with so many complications you fear you may not see these Birthdays. Lucky's a strong kiddo, we are so proud of how far he's come. We can't wait to celebrate him.

We've added his Big Birthday Wishlist, of course there's lots and lots of books on it! You can't have too many books. 😉
