Excited to be stepping into the world of hands on and somatic healing. Personally I love somatic healing and body work, and include this for myself as much as I do good nutrition, herbs and ingested energy medicine. I would be missing out on accessing a whole other level of healing were I just to focus on what to be putting into my body (or removing at times). Now somatic healing can be done alone in the form of movement but at times facilitation can be very supportive. I’ve found this to be the case for myself with kahuna massages, somatic experiencing, osteopathy, chiropractic, cranial sacral, kinesiology and other forms of hands on therapy all being wonderfully beneficial as I live this life. Two months ago I experienced .technique for the first time. My first session was extremely cathartic and powerful, and after my second session I knew I had found the hands on therapy I was looking for to add to my bag of tricks. It was such a strong yes and a deep knowing that this was my next step (hello sacral manifesting generator!)

Spinal Flow Technique works on the central nervous system by sending a healing message along the spine to the brain via access points, helping to guide the body back into balance through its own innate healing capacity.

I honestly can’t wait to bring this new modality into my work! I’ll be looking for people to practice on and do case reports on over the next six to twelve months so please reach out if you live locally to me and it feels like this could be supportive for you (from February 2026).

In the meantime, if I can support you 1:1 with herbs, diet, flower essences, life style and nature connection please reach out. I’ll still be doing all of these wonderful things in my practice along with workshops and a longer cleansing program coming in the new year. I’d love to walk alongside you as you discover how amazing you truly are :)

Cleansing, detoxing and lymphatic herbal tea. This blend is helping to support my lymph flow and detoxification pathways. I’ve had a swollen left arm for nearly two weeks now, which is a good indication that my lymph is not flowing well and there have been some immune related issues. Due to breast cancer 13 years ago and removal of all lymph nodes under my left arm, I am at risk of lymphoedema and cellulitis. I had it a lot in the early days post surgery and it was quite challenging to manage back then. The immune related issues have been viral load from a head cold and a tick bite in my head. Add in long haul flights prior to that where I did struggle with excess fluid in both my arms and legs, however they did resolve quickly enough post flights.

Last week I supported my immune system mostly with some lymphatic herbs add in however this week I’ve been focusing more on manually moving the lymph and reducing the fluid in my arm. I have felt unwell at times with this and even though I’ve been doing this somewhat gently, my detox pathways have been a bit eager to move any waste out of my body and I’ve been left feeling nauseous and fatigued at times and running to the bathroom on other occasions! Headaches have also been present but mild thankfully. Today I had some manual therapy including a lymphatic massage and the use of a compression machine on my arms. This was very helpful! I’ve also been using the sauna and doing some hydrotherapy at home as well.

Next week I’m away for vision quest where I’ll be sitting on the land in presence with myself and nature and nothing else. No doubt the body will have a lot to say then as well. And I shall listen to a point. Our bodies can be noisy and demanding but if we listen and love them then a beautiful bond is formed for this life. And I feel the sooner we do this the better. It’s a journey I’ve certainly been on for many years.

If you’d like some support in listening to your body please let me know. I’d love to help you with that. And maybe some plants can help along the way.

What if we had summer all year round? I recently went on an overseas trip to the UK and Europe. The long days felt like a novelty and we certainly made the most of them. By the end of the trip I was exhausted! It didn’t feel like long summer days would be sustainable year round. As fun as they were, I actually missed winter. Brisbane winter anyway. Beautiful days, cooler nights that sometimes allowed for a fire. I’m reading book three of Game of Thrones at the moment and Winter is Coming feels somewhat torturous!

So since returning in late July I’ve been acclimatising and hermitting myself - enjoying the warm winter days but also wishing for more cold crisp weather and fires at night. It seems that may have passed us by for now but I won’t hold out hope over the next two weeks. By the end of August I’d be grateful for warmer night time temperatures as I’ll be on Vision Quest where I’ll be spending 4 nights alone in the wilderness where I’ll experience the weather and nature in very intimate ways. We often use the weather as small talk and chit chat but there’s a huge amount of depth that can be touched into when reflecting upon the weather, the seasons, nature’s strange ways. I love it.

So Spring is Coming and next month Holly and I will be holding the next instalment of our Good Witches’ Guide to Seasonal Living workshops. If you’re interested in saving the date, it will be on Sunday 21 September. More details to come soon.

I’d love to hear your favourite season of the year and why it is so.

Longer consultations aren’t always accessible, be it time or finances. Since working in a health shop since the start of this year, I’ve realised just how much these acute consults are needed. As much as I try to make time for every single customer that walks into the shop, there’s at least 1:5 who are in need of more personalised care. And to be honest, I feel like we’d all benefit from personalised care and someone by our sides to help navigate the seemingly infinite number of products and confusing advice available these days. I’m here to help you simplify. I’m also here to help guide and support during times of acute illness. Yes something deeper is driving ongoing immune dysregulation and allergies, painful menstrual cycles, anxiety and insomnia, headaches, heartburn, constipation or diarrhoea. We can address the symptoms while also slowly chipping away at the deeper issues in these shorter consults. Maybe you would you like to have a shorter consult before committing to working deeper with me. These consults are a great way to do that.

So I have availability on Tuesday between 9:30 and 12:30 and Thursday between 9:30 and 12:30. You can book in advance or message on the day to see what’s available if an acute health pops up this week. I’ll be opening one to two mornings a week for acute appointments for current and new clients. I’ll post at the start of each week when this will be. Cost will depend on duration and remedies prescribed plus also adding on postage for telehealth consults.

Please DM if you have any questions.

Such a topical subject of late. Where do you sit with this one? Do you take some form of hormone therapy? Did you know you can get bioidentical hormones? Did you know herbs can help in balancing hormones?

“For some women, HRT can be transformative. For others, it is unnecessary—or even harmful. What women need is clear, independent guidance—not a sales pitch.

Menopause is a natural life stage.

While relief matters deeply for those who need it, we should be wary of the growing trend to over-medicalise women’s health—turning a normal biological transition into a lifelong pharmaceutical dependency.

We should be able to say that—without being accused of dismissing women’s needs or denying them care. They deserve the full picture, without the PR spin.”cs irmpes

At the FDA’s recent roundtable, menopause was reframed as a disease of “oestrogen deficiency”—and hormone therapy as the cure. But was this science or salesmanship?
