With two of our busy and beloved massage therapists moving on to different life adventures within a month, this means we have a unique Massage Position waiting to be filled, with well established clientele waiting!

This therapist would be walking into an our beautiful garden community and a highly advantageous and supportive situation, with many of our amazing clients awaiting a smooth and gentle transition into a relationship with a new massage therapist.

-An enjoyment and willingness to work comfortably all the way from relaxation massage to deep tissue massage

This message is to share with all of you that our incredible friend, talented massage therapist and all around, beloved human being Selina Streahorn, has made the decision to shift her entire massage and shockwave practice to her home clinic space come the end of March, 2025.
🌿
Selina has been an integral part of our garden community, always with a smile on her face and always ready to lend a helping hand. We have been so blessed to have Selina at the clinic this long, and it’s with heavy hearts, but very excited hopes for her future, that we see her go onto this next step.
🌿
She has helped us grow in so many ways, and has been endlessly giving of her time and her energy. A forever cheerleader for our community, to say that she will be missed is an understatement!
🌿
From the bottom of our hearts, Selina, we will miss you and your presence within our little garden, and we thank you so much for everything you have given us over the years.

We’ve finally done the big thing and hired a wonderful clinic manager to support us as we continue to thrive and grow our garden!
🌿
We are so excited and thrilled to welcome Amy Johnston to our garden team!!!
🌿
Amy is completing her final year of a bachelor’s degree in biological science, with the intention of taking a master’s in counselling psychology upon completion. A working mom of two kiddos, Amy knows a thing or two about working to cultivate balance, good flow and supportive structures, and is looking forward to working within a community of holistically-minded humans. 
🌿
Amy is also the owner and operator of the gorgeous local skin care company,  
WILDFIRE SELF-CARE .selfcare , 
🌿
Here, Amy produces and manages the creation of all-natural, handmade wellness products, making her knowledge and expertise such an incredible addition to our garden. Amy is also a meditation teacher, aligning herself perfectly with our space.

As one can expect from this alignment, The Garden will soon be carrying select Wildfire Products to be sold within our garden space! Keep on the lookout for Amy’s gorgeous handcrafted and organic skincare products to be gracing our garden walls soon.

Throughout my years following YTT I have started to explore more somatic movement & practices, & found that they expanded my yoga practice & built on this masculine/feminine energetic knowledge of movement.
🌿
I really feel passionately about teaching in a way that helps others feel these subtle energies in each posture. Cueing alignment & modifications that make sense to your unique body in a structural way, & also listening to the intuitive guidance of your body to move in non-linear, somatically expressive ways.
🌿
To understand the subtle energies within each posture. The masculine energy of contraction, creating stability, fire & heat, with the feminine energy of expansion, beyond your physical borders, softening & connecting with universal energy around you.
🌿
Learning how to hold both of these energies together in practice.
🌿
This is what I will share throughout this 3-week series.
What I have been passed down by my teachers, blended with my own lived body experience & intelligence.

Over the 3 weeks we will learn:

CUPPING - These cups, which can be glass or silicone, are used to create suction along the muscles, tissues and fascia, to loosen sore, aching and tight muscles.
🌿
Acting like a “reverse massage” cupping has been used for centuries all across the world to ease tight tissue and stiff muscles, resulting in a relaxation similar to massage therapy.
🌿
GUA SHA is another technique, in which a massage tool (traditionally made of stone such as jade) massages and glides over the skin and tissues to work out knots, loosen tight scar tissue and relax the surrounding muscles to regenerate and oxidize the tissues and circulation beneath the skin’s surface.

These types of gua sha tools have become wildly popular in recent years for facial rejuvenation and massage, both in the clinic and at home self-care practices.
