At 55 I took my first pole dance class. I’m a somatic practitioner a yoga teacher of 20 years. I teach people to listen to their bodies for a living and there I was thinking to myself I’m too fat, too jiggly , too much cellulite. The inner critic doesn’t care about your credentials. I kept a journal for all 12 weeks the breakthroughs, the knee injury, the week I wrote- I miss pleasure. I miss doing things just because they feel good. When did we stop doing that? the full essay is on Substack link in my bio - go read it then tell me when’s the last time you did something purely for pleasure.

If you’re a high-achiever who hasn’t stopped in longer than you can remember, this essay is for you. Not to inspire you to book a retreat — though I won’t stop you — but to remind you that renewal isn’t indulgent. It’s the whole point.

I lit Palo Santo, led a yoga retreat, and held space for a Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy intensive — all in one day.
This is not a flex. This is a testimony.
At the retreat, I watched a room full of women arrive carrying their week on their shoulders. By the end, one was quietly wiping tears. Another said she didn’t realize how much her body needed that.
I left them with the only words I had:
Make sure your cup is full, so that you may give from the overflow.
Then I drove to a client’s home for our sixth KAP intensive together. We talked about archetypes. The shapeshifter. The underworld. How depression and the underworld feel so similar — and how emerging from both carries the same quality of light.
She’s starting a new job. Her space looks different. She looks different.
This is why I created the Soul Body Flow Method.
Not as a brand. As a belief — that the mind, the body, and the spirit are not separate problems requiring separate solutions.
Twenty years of yoga. Ten years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. A lifetime of holding space for people who are ready to come home to themselves.

Weekly therapy can be deeply supportive—but for many people, it also creates an unintended pattern: you open something important, feel the depth of it, and then life interrupts the process before the system fully integrates what’s emerging. The insight lands, but the nervous system doesn’t always get the time it needs to reorganize around it.

Intensive therapy sessions shift that structure.

Instead of brief weekly entry points, we create extended time inside the therapeutic process—enough continuity for emotional material to surface, be worked with in real time, and actually settle in the body. There’s no constant stopping and restarting. The work has room to stay open long enough for something different to happen.

In this kind of container, we’re not just talking about patterns—we’re working directly with them. Nervous system regulation, emotional processing, somatic awareness, and belief-level shifts happen within the same sustained field of attention. That matters, because lasting change is less about insight and more about what the body can actually integrate while it’s supported.

People often describe intensives as the first time they’ve been able to move beyond understanding their patterns into actually changing them. Not in theory—but in how they respond, feel, and relate afterward.

This work is not about doing more therapy. It’s about changing the conditions the healing happens in.

If you’re in a season where weekly support feels too fragmented—or you’re standing at a threshold where something deeper is asking to move—intensive sessions may be the right structure for that process.

DM “INTENSIVE” if you want to explore working together.

I’m opening space for a small number of new counseling clients.

My work is centered on helping high-functioning but overwhelmed people regulate their nervous system, reconnect with their body, and move through emotional patterns that talk louder than logic alone.

This is not about fixing you. It’s about understanding what your system has been carrying—and why it responds the way it does under stress, pressure, relationships, and life transitions.

Much of my work integrates somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and deep emotional processing so that change isn’t just cognitive—it becomes embodied and sustainable.

Clients often come to me feeling:

* mentally overactive but emotionally exhausted
* successful on the outside but depleted internally
* stuck in stress cycles they can’t “think” their way out of
* disconnected from their body, intuition, or sense of direction

The work is structured, grounded, and relational. We slow things down enough for real patterns to become visible—and then we work with them at the level where they actually live: the nervous system.

If you’re in a season of transition, burnout recovery, or reorientation, this may be supportive for you.

I’m currently accepting a limited number of new counseling clients.
If you’re interested, reach out directly to inquire about availability and fit.
