Becoming a British Commando at a young age resulted in me being physically fit for the majority of my adult life. Although I was always an optimistic individual, I always had a feeling that something was missing, having had that feeling lurking above me for some time I thought that was just life. However after a low point in my late 20's I was fortunately introduced to meditation which changed my life for good, sounds corny but its true - keep reading ;) I did not adopt the powers to bend spoons or reach enlightenment, however I felt like pieces of a unfinished jigsaw puzzle we're starting to come together in my mind. I started reading books to self educate which was strange because I was not a reader and I began to feel more grounded, this followed me to Nigeria where I was deployed for work in Private Security. Whilst there I felt the most content in life Ive ever felt which was truly weird due to the fact I was in Nigeria and it was not in the top 10 most relaxing holiday destinations to visit at that time :) "We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are". That was my last deployment in that line of work, I booked a 1 way ticket to Nepal to further my personal development and to see where life would take me. From there, I took a course studying Buddhism in Kopan monastery in Kathmandu. That led me on a big journey to India, which was never going to be the last. I went from a few 10 day silent meditation courses, to becoming a Yoga teacher and running a business in Australia. Now I am here, the only place I can be :)
Thats the short, long story. All my life I have always eaten whatever I wanted because I had the ''doesn't matter what I eat because I workout'' mentality. However the meditation coupled with education from amazing individuals changed what I put inside my body from then on. Like all of us, I still have naughty treats but as I continue to grow, the naughty gets taken away from the treats. I just want to share what I have learned with all who may wish to learn with me, because I am the first to hold my hand up and say, I thought i knew enough about life and didn't need to learn more. How wrong I was! And now here for you...
