Wow it's been some time.

I was so wrapped up in building a whole new life that I now find myself finally here on the other side 💗

So, allow me to reintroduce myself.

My name is Kristin- I am a clinical nutritionist and the founder of Kymisala Wellness, a nutrition for mind body health program 🌿

Here in this space I offer a road map to nervous system health with a Greek twist 🧿 Through integrative nutrition, I help you reclaim your mind and body health by teaching you how to become your own best healer.

Nutrients create the foundation for your life and influence every single cell within your body by providing it with information on how to use your unique genetic code.

So, if what you eat affects your body, how could it not have an effect on your brain and nervous system, and ultimately how you experience the world?

Food nurtures beneficial gut bugs

It combats inflammation in the body and brain

It creates new nerve cells and heals damaged DNA

It fuels your nervous system and create neurotransmitters

It improves digestion allowing nutrients to actually get absorbed so you can do all the things

It can also do the exact opposite by working against you and preventing you from living your most fulfilling life.

Through my clinical wisdom, nutritional knowledge, and my own personal experience, I am here to empower you to heal your mind and body at the root.

✨ Navigating the health world can be daunting, confusing, and at times expensive. There is a lot of noise out there and a black hole of an internet full of contradicting information. In a world of alternative facts, it is hard to know what is real and what is just hype. Especially when you have been told something enough times, it begins to sound true, even if it has no basis in fact. Some examples of this include:

• Eating cholesterol increases the risk of heart disease
• Drinking eight glasses of water a day improves health
• Skipping breakfast makes you more likely to gain weight
• Drinking milk is "good" for you

✨ These are culturally entrenched beliefs, but are they really true? With these concepts, it is wise to keep in mind today’s anti science world. Regarding health advice, we must never forget that good science is skeptical science. So when it comes to health advice, here are some thoughts to keep in mind:

• Always question your source and how they came to their conclusions
• Always seek reputable, educated, and current sources in all your endeavors
• Gain second opinions outside of what is considered conventional
• Take control of your health by educating yourself on all of your options

✨ It is now officially one week into the new year. One week since many of us contemplated new goals and how we could achieve them.

✨ Let me keep it real with you. Change can be uncomfortable and growth can be painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck in a space you do not belong to.

✨ Before you focus on the behavior which gets you to change, first be mindful to the impact of your words. They are a deeper reflection of your attitude and your likelihood of making those uncomfortable hard changes.

✨ Use the power of your words to direct your intent, your attitude, and your behavior. Your chance of success is directly dependent on them. Speak with integrity and say only what you mean.

✨ When you become impeccable with your words, you speak your truth. You forecast not only your attitude towards change but most importantly the likelihood of success in achieving that change.
