I’m reading a book by a journalist interviewing several doctors.

One paragraph states: “Diseases prompt change; human beings typically don’t change unless they face the threat of death. It is often out of fear that they alter their behaviors. In some ways, diseases serve this purpose.”

I find this perspective disheartening because nothing else seems to matter when you’re in pain. For those of us who have gone through this struggle, we often try to warn others about the consequences of their food and lifestyle choices, hoping to spare them from the same suffering. Unfortunately, many people are unwilling to listen.

Does this mean that each individual must experience pain in order to change?

Today's salad was incredibly nutritious. I made it with raw broccoli, romaine lettuce, carrots, and a little bit of smoked fish with ginger for flavor.
I added some lemon and olive oil as well. To be honest, I had a hard time with the fish. I haven't eaten fish in a long time, and the fishy smell was quite overwhelming.

Get the ingredients and make yourself a healthy salad. Opt for the protein of your choice.

Did you know that women with chronic diseases face a "double whack" during peri- and post-menopause?

They've challenges of managing existing health conditions alongside the hormonal changes that occur during menopause.

1️⃣ Hormonal Changes: As estrogen levels decline, many women may gain weight, particularly around the abdomen, because the body starts storing fat.

2️⃣ Exacerbation of Chronic Conditions: Women with chronic or autoimmune diseases, menopause can intensify symptoms. The decline in estrogen, which has anti-inflammatory properties, may lead to increased pain and inflammation, making everyday life more challenging.

That's why I advise my clients and women in my community to shift their way of eating and improve their lifestyle changes to reduce inflammation and fat storage.
