You are doing FINE!

Remember the ICON message:
* Infant crying is normal and it will stop
* Comfort methods will sometimes help and the crying will stop
* OK to walk away for a few minutes to calm down if the baby is safe and the crying is getting to you
* Never ever shake or hurt a baby

We offer a range of vaccinations to protect you and your baby during pregnancy:

* Flu is offered seasonally from October to March. This will be offered to you when you attend your dating scan, or you can ask your community midwife when you have a routine appointment.

* Whooping cough (Pertussis vaccine) can be given from 16 weeks of pregnancy. You will be offered this when you attend your 20-week anomaly scan.

* RSV vaccine can be given from 28 weeks and will protect your baby against respiratory illness. Your midwife will offer you this at your routine 28-week antenatal appointment.

You can drop in to see one of our vaccination nurses at the RUH based in the Sunflower Room, D7, Antenatal Clinic at RUH, or you can email ruh-tr.maternityvaccinationteam@nhs.net
