The commitment of our office is that all our patients have a safe and rewarding experience while in our care. To assure this takes place, our staff has been specially trained to work with you and to assist however they can. We encourage your questions and believe this is the best way for you to receive the results that you desire. You are the most important person in the surgical process. Miami plastic surgery (such as facelift, lip enlargement or rhinoplasty in Miami) can be performed safely on an outpatient basis in our onsite fully OSHA compliant surgical suite. Anesthesia is accomplished using an oral sedation ‘cocktail’ (ie, Valium, Ambien) combined with local anesthesia (Xylocaine) for a safe and comfortable procedure with an easier post operative recovery. Dr. Galitz is available 24 hours a day for emergencies, office care, hospital care, or telephone consultation. The office telephone number is assigned to an answering service after office hours and on holidays and weekends, so that we may always be contacted if necessary. Our sweet and caring Dr. Richard Galitz passed away unexpectedly last month. We are all shocked and saddened at his sudden passing and will be closing his practice.

He was a very skilled physician, one of a kind, and a highly respected, remarkable individual in our community for 38 years. He was known for his exceptional surgical skills, having a Master’s Degree in Art and Sculpture made him a truly unique facial plastic surgeon. Dr. Galitz had a heart of gold and an obsession for his daughters and granddaughters, showing photos to anyone he could every day. He was the funniest man, bringing joy and laughter to those around him without even realizing it. He had a lasting, positive impact on those around him and he will be terribly missed.

I invented my dermal fat grafting procedure twenty years ago to semi-permanently plump up thin lips, upper and lower. This is not a fat injection, it is a strip of your own fat that is shimmied in through small incisions on the inside of the lip. I allow for some shrinkage but overall it lasts a good 10 years. Many of my patients get tired of spending $1000 yearly on injectable fillers for their lips. Here is a solution.

The other day my oldest daughter asked me to show her how to do stitches. She is a biology major with her eyes set on med school in 2 years. She dove right in and did remarkably well .... practicing on real tissue.... not on the patient. That made my day! Happy Fathers Day to all you proud Dads!
