The Story

My name is Jaide, @TheGroovyDoula; helping people & pregnancy in search of wellness...I am passionate about educating myself and others in living a passionate/sustainable life; with a focus on serving women during the sexual/reproductive years with Education, Herbal Support/Nutrition, and hands on work. This ranges from: Periods, S*x Ed, to fertility and nutrition, baby planning, birth education, labor support, postpartum support/nutrition/care, Parenting support - Breastfeeding & Baby care basics, and emotional/physical support to the experience of miscarriage & abortion. I am passionate about life and the process in which it unfolds...

I am currently in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - working within the community as a Clinical Herbalist, Birth Doula, Yoga Therapist, and artist.

I spent the summer in Taos, New Mexico & the San Luis Valley in Colorado - Gardening, hiking around with a guidebook, wildcrafting, and learning the medicinal plants of the Southwest...

Prior to this adventure, I was in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia & North Carolina, from 2015 -2018. The mass of green and abundance of wild medicinals makes it an ideal location for studying the relationship between nature and people; and the people in my community embrace the lifestyle that demands wholeheartedly; Virginia is brimming with holistic health practitioners, farmers, gardeners, craftspeople, birthworkers, energetic healers, yogis, fitness gurus, nutritionists, and plantfolk! I love sharing my passion for nature and energetic healing with our community, and hope to make Functional Herbalism accessible to the masses through plant based nutrition, and simple teaching techniques that foster the mindbody connection. Women’s Health & Mental Health are my niche areas; I have served as Outreach Coordinator for On Our Own through Botanica Mobile Herb Clinic, and as a Clinical Herbalist and Teacher at The Elderberry; our local herb shop...
