🕉️💚 June is Scoliosis Awareness Month 💚

Did you know a spine can curve like an “S” or “C”? That sideways curvature of the spine is Scoliosis and it affects millions of people all over the world. Often develops in childhood or adolescence and it can range from mild to severe.

As we age a scoliotic curve can be worsen. What may have been a mild bend in youth can become more pronounced, leading to increased muscle strain, stiffness, and chronic pain. Reduced flexibility and weakening core muscles also make it harder to compensate for the curve, so everyday movements may feel more challenging.

💚 Scoliosis & Yoga: Embracing Every Curve 💚

Through yoga we learn how to honor our bodies exactly as they are. With mindful movement, strength, and awareness, many people with scoliosis find balance, both on and off the mat.
