Mental health shouldn't be such a taboo subject - and people say that it isn't, but lets be honest - it sure is! Even if you aren't affected by a mental health issue the chances are people close to you are, and it's very difficult to speak up about these issues when you have all the demons in ya head convincing you otherwise and then the pressure of stigma, etc. My friends, family and support netw
ork are AMAZING, yet sometimes I still feel ridiculously ashamed to talk about things - and lets be honest I didn't choose to be going through whatever I am going through haha, and I'm working my butt off to kick it to the curb, but it's okay to struggle, and it should be okay to talk about our mental health! I’ve started this blog as a way to share my journey of dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder. I’ve found that writing my experience is very therapeutic for myself, and being able to share these posts with ‘someone’ is very helpful for me. I also reblog and share other stories (Mental Health related) that I find interesting – it’s great to see so many people sharing their story :)

The response I’ve received so far has been fantastic, and I hope to continue sharing my stories with others, and releasing my feelings. I regularly follow and track similar blogs, and individuals and it is a very positive action for me – I’m hoping that this blog will help to raise mental health awareness – offering support and a sense of understanding.
