It’s and today I’m so thankful for the opportunity to do and be better each day!
I strongly debated whether or not to make this post, but I decided “why not?”🤷🏽♀️
Today is the 1st of December and also the first day in my personal 30 day get shredded challenge. I wanted be transparent about where I am in my own healthy journey. While many will look at these pics and say I look good for a 47 year old woman, I beg to differ. Not because I think I’m any less attractive but because I know what I’m capable of, and for me age doesn’t dictate my health.
Over the past 2 years, I gone through a couple of health challenges that shook me off my game a bit. Fortunately, I enjoy eating clean, so my diet was fine. However, I stopped lifting weights consistently. My friends, let me tell you…After the age of 40, if you aren’t adding in resistance training as part of your weekly routine, everything WILL start to go south quickly! It’s just the way our bodies are designed. This is another reason why it’s so important to me to get back in great shape. 50 is right around the corner and I refuse to use that as an excuse to let myself go!
I hope everyone who reads this sees it as a positive motivation to never give up on your goals! Don’t let a number keep you from looking and feeling your best. Yes, it’s damn hard, but it’s worth it.
I’ll keep you guys updated weekly on my progress. Can’t wait to see what I can accomplish by December 31st.
