Costa Rica Retreat

This is our home, and we treat our visitors like our dear friends. We give you as much privacy as you like. We also think of this place is a personal retreat that you can design for yourself. There is walking in nature right out the door, a small waterfall. We are close to bus, transportation and Taxi’s, and Uber’s are available. We can share with you, Yoga, Drumming, mosaics and our wonderful dogs that are both adorable, pets, as well as watch dogs.

If you are a legal resident and have a foreign driver’s license, you can complete the procedure to homologate, or validate, this document at any of the 13 offices of the General Directorate of Road Education (MOPT): Heredia, Cartago, Nicoya, Liberia, Río Claro, Puntarenas, San Carlos, Alajuela, San Ramón, Pérez Zeledón, Guápiles, Limón, and La Uruca (San José).

I seem to post more on Instagram these days than here. Look for us as ‘ourcostaricalife’ ...

We are just a few days away from six months since Michael passed away from a very complicated combination of illnesses. In those months, I have kept myself extremely busy, as a way to keep my sanity. Michael did so many things, and I have struggled to even do a fraction of what he used to do.

That said, I have used this time, with some good support, to do a lot of projects on the property to make it more beautiful and appealing for future visitors. Some projects show up well in Photos, and some don’t.

The first plant I bought for the garden was a fig tree. And it gave me two incredibly beautiful figs today.
