CREATIVE LIFE FORCE
This is also known as Universal Life Force Energy. The Chinese call this chi (or g), the Japanese ki, and it's known as prana in ayurveda and yogic tradition. It is literally the energy that creates and sustains life. Life without this creative life force just cannot exist. I'll call it chi for simplicity.
A tale of science
The world of science does not believe that
chi exists, but not recognizing this energy
source leaves it in a slight quandary. This is
because the only biochemical reaction that
takes place within cells in the human body
which "produces" energy is when ATP
(adenosine triphosphate) is converted to ADP
(adenosine diphosphate) and energy. But this reaction only produces around 20 percent of the energy required for an adult human
to exist and function! So where does the rest of the energy come from?
I talk about this in several of my books and usually say something along the
following lines:
"Like so many aspects of alternative healing,
we don't have to understand the source of this energy supply to be able to observe its effects.'
However, as more and more evidence of dark matter and dark energy is found by scientists, it may well be that science has "discovered" chi...
MERIDIANS
There are hundreds of lines of energy flowing through the body, and these are known as meridians, or in some yogic traditions, as nadis. They facilitate the flow of energy in the same way that your arteries and veins
carry blood to where it is needed. Meridians create chakras, or energy hot spots, where they meet because the energy is more concentrated there. The chakras carry this
energy back and forth to the aura, thus completing the energy system of
many living things, from insects to humans
in the evolutionary range.
