The one that was talking about eating strange things and why you should too, or why that fad food is not as good for you as you think, or how we should be encouraging science to advance the safety and nutrition of what we eat, or how to find the best food at your local grocer. Honestly, I think this is how most folks remember me. I'm THAT guy; the one who is going to keep you informed, make you laugh, make you think, and sometimes... I'm sure, I'll even make you shake your head. If you've been following me on Social Media, we've been building up to this for a while...

If you're in the industry, I am sure our paths have crossed at some point. This industry gives a whole new meaning to "it's a small world." By day, I am a food safety and sustainability leader with extensive experience protecting the consumer’s food through scientific efforts, regulatory, standard and policy compliance and development. Excellent at developing business relationships and collaborations that bring about new ground-breaking technologies, improved techniques and paradigm-shifting ideas. BTW... New regs have been introduced for Green House Gases (GHG) reporting and controls (more climate change BS). There is also a push for ESG regulations. If you think the price of food has gotten bad, you haven't seen anything yet.

Highlights:
-Food Donations!!!
-Sesame is the 9th Major Allergen
-Informing consumers about allergens in unpackaged foods
-Adding Allergen Labels to bulk bins
-Creating allowances for for dogs in outdoor dining spaces
-Revising the definition of intact meat, including enhancements to clarify time/temperature cooking requirements

Are Jellyfish the next super food?
As y'all know, TFSG says "Try everything twice, some three times."
So I'd be open to trying it. Jelly fish have been a popular snack in China for a very long time. There are of course risks, but in a world where some folks can't find enough food, we need to look at alternatives.
But what do you think? Would you be willing to try this?
