I personally think that if your dog is obese it should be a form of animal abuse

So here's a fun, easy way to work your buddy out if you're neglecting this right now ... A flexy pipe... String and an unstuffed toy turned into a big flirt pole.... It's great work for them and super lazy for you

I spend so much time on my own health, it's only right I do the same for him 😊

VO2Max testing..... Measuring the maximum amount of oxygen my body can utilize to support exercise.... and one of the best measures of overall health because it represents the ability of all the body's systems to work together
This is also a testament to the entire premise behind interval training for cardiovascular fitness... Because I scored excellent on this test.... Yet I avoid long aerobic work like the plague and focus more on bike sprints or hill sprints which require a fraction of the time to complete........ train smart!!😉😉

Finish off this workout with some reverse flyes on the good ol' b***y machine 😄 4 sets of 20-25 reps to really hit your posterior delt... Focus on the contraction rather than just swinging the weight to get the most out of this 😄

Last set 4x8... Slow eccentric focus with a 54° Incline

The bench/Incline press can be one of you're best upper body strengthening tools, but it is often abused by ego lifters...people who rarely go above 45° because it's drops the weight you can use significantly.
Change the movement... change the stimulus... reap the rewards and avoid overuse 😄

Bent over barbell row (cluster sets)
165lbs x 4 - break - 2 - break - 1 - done

25lbs away from bodyweight
In supporting my chest on the bench to prevent cheating, and also to take the balance aspect out of the lift. This gives your body a stable platform to pull from and allows you to use more weight.

Something to think about when using a smith machine to perform squats and the movement's countless variations.

The smith-machine allows you to lean back in to the bar, doing this limits the amount of hip extension produced.

Essentially this takes the hamstrings out of the movement, which is bad, since the hamstrings are one of the muscles essential to stabilizing the knee as you begin the descent. The result is a lot of forces trying to pull the joint apart with that would otherwise be absorbed by the surrounding musculature.

This isn't to say the smith-machine does not have its place but its something to consider.

Dear Mr. "Part-time Nutritionist" at Planet Fitness.....While there are certainly diet/nutrition related tips most people could benefit from..... suggesting that the 4 overweight gentlemen you sparked a conversation with should immediately try Intermittent Fasting is complete bu****it and could even be dangerous without knowing each individuals history/starting point.

You mean to tell me that its a great practice and you couldn't believe how much weight you could lose while doing it.......Intermittent fasting requires you to spend less time eating, and only eating within a certain time window each day......most likely meaning you'll consume less calories.....

It's not rocket science that if you eat less you'll likely lose weight....but there's better ways of doing so than starving yourself
