As a new year approaches, it’s easy to fill our goals with numbers, milestones, and achievements. More money. Better habits. Bigger accomplishments. And while those things matter, there is something deeper, steadier, and far more sustaining than any external goal: a life anchored in prayer and trust. For 2026, let the focus shift inward and upward. Pray more. Trust God more.

Pray more — not just when things fall apart, but when things are calm. Not only in moments of desperation, but in moments of gratitude. Prayer is not meant to be a last resort; it’s meant to be a daily relationship. In prayer, you don’t have to impress God, explain yourself perfectly, or have the right words. You just have to show up honestly.

Praying more means inviting God into the ordinary moments of life. The quiet mornings. The long commutes. The moments of decision. The times when you don’t know what to do next. It means turning worries into conversations and fears into surrender. It means choosing connection over control.

In 2026, pray even when you feel strong — because strength rooted in prayer stays grounded. Pray when you feel weak — because prayer is where strength is renewed. Pray when answers are delayed — because waiting becomes lighter when it’s shared with God. Pray when blessings come — because gratitude keeps your heart humble.

Prayer doesn’t change God’s character — it changes your posture. It aligns your heart with His will. It slows your racing thoughts. It reminds you that you are not meant to carry life alone. The more you pray, the more you begin to recognize God’s presence in places you once felt abandoned.

And trust God more.

Trusting God is often harder than praying to Him. Prayer feels active; trust feels like letting go. Trust asks you to release control over outcomes, timelines, and expectations. It asks you to believe that God is working even when you can’t see progress. That He is present even when He feels silent. That He is faithful even when circumstances feel uncertain.

Trust God more in 2026 — not because everything will go perfectly, but because He will be with you through everything. Trust Him when plans change. Trust Him when doors close. Trust Him when answers come slowly. Trust Him when your emotions lag behind your faith.

Trust means choosing to believe that delays are not denials, that silence is not absence, and that waiting is not wasted. It means believing that God sees the whole path while you only see the next step — and that His vision can be trusted more than your understanding.

In 2026, trust God with your future — your finances, your health, your relationships, your purpose. Trust Him with what you can’t fix. Trust Him with what you don’t understand. Trust Him with the parts of your story that are still unfolding.

Pray more and trust God more when anxiety rises.
Pray more and trust God more when fear whispers.
Pray more and trust God more when life feels heavy.

Because prayer keeps you connected, and trust keeps you steady.

You don’t need to know how everything will work out this year. You don’t need to have all the answers, all the clarity, or all the confidence. You just need to stay close to God and keep choosing trust one day at a time. Faith doesn’t require perfection — it requires persistence.

There will be days in 2026 when you forget to pray. Days when trust feels hard. Days when doubt feels louder than hope. Those days don’t disqualify you — they remind you to return. Prayer is always available. Trust can always be rebuilt. God does not withdraw His grace because you struggle.

Make prayer your reflex, not just your response. Make trust your foundation, not your backup plan. Let these two goals guide every other goal you set. Because when prayer leads and trust follows, clarity comes, peace grows, and purpose unfolds naturally.

At the end of 2026, success won’t only be measured by what you achieved — but by how deeply you stayed connected to God. How often you turned to Him. How willingly you trusted Him. How much lighter your heart became because you didn’t carry everything alone.

So let it be simple. Let it be intentional. Let it be life-giving.

Goals for 2026:
Pray more — stay connected.
Trust God more — stay steady.

Everything else will follow.
