Babywearing 101 Workshop at Refuge Wellness Collective with Quad City Babywearing!!

Hey Sarah! I hope you enjoyed your holidays! Here is a description of the Babywearing 101 Workshop.

New to babywearing? Expecting? Or just need a refresher? This is the workshop for you! We will go over babywearing safety, the different styles of carriers, and the basics for use and care. There will be time for Q&A as well as time to try out some different carriers or get help with one of your own.

This is a “donate-what-you-can” event. Suggested donations* are as follows:
$15 - You are financially stable and don’t have to keep track of spending
$10- You are financially stable but have to budget some
$5- You are financially stable but have to budget all your expenses
$0- You are not financially stable, live paycheck-to-paycheck, or you are unsure of your financial future

Donations can be made in cash at the event or through PayPal ().
All donations to towards new carriers for the lending library and event or marketing costs.

*These are just suggestions. You are free to donate whatever amount you are comfortable with.

I support women through fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum with personalized nutrition that’s realistic and deeply supportive. I use functional labs, symptom assessment, and gentle nutrition strategies to help balance hormones, nourish mom and baby, and restore energy. My goal is to help women feel strong, confident, and well-supported in every season of motherhood.

🌳What’s one thing you love about your work?
I love helping women get to the root of their symptoms through functional nutrition testing—like hormone panels, mineral analysis, and stool testing!

🌳What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at Refuge?
I enjoy thrift shopping, making sourdough, and doing embroidery.

I provide pediatric and pelvic health physical therapy through my practice, Empowered by Birth. My career began in pediatrics, and after becoming a mother myself, it naturally expanded to serving not only babies, but their moms as well. It is truly an honor to be trusted with your care during such a vulnerable and transformative season.

🌳 What’s one thing you love about your work?
It is so rewarding! I love getting excited texts full of gratitude from a mom after they give birth or their baby meets a new milestone they’ve been working for.

🌳What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at Refuge?
Spending time at home with my husband and three kiddos, working on home renovations and getting lost in a good rom-com.

When I’m not at Refuge, I’m usually chasing my kids, sipping coffee, or dreaming up ways to rearrange and redesign some part of my life.

MONTHLY MEETING

Reminder that our monthly baby wearing meeting is this Tuesday (12/9/25) from 10am-12pm at Refuge Wellness Collective in Rock Island!

All of our monthly meetings are FREE, open to the public, and family friendly! Feel free to come and go any time between 10am and noon! You are not required to stay for the entire time.

At our meetings, we can help you with figuring out how to use your baby carrier or how to get a better fit with it. We also bring a large selection of baby carriers for you to try on! If you would like to check out any of our carriers to use for the month, we have a lending library membership option. To become a member, there is a $20 fee for a one-year membership and a contract that must be signed (This is ONLY for those looking to check out a carrier to bring home).
