It’s not just about looking a desired way but how it makes us feel both Physically & Mentally and the impact that has day to day.

It’s believing that the person who leaves the door is different to the one who entered the door.

It’s knowing you’re doing something to create the best version of you.

It’s taking time for yourself to promote the best version of you but not only you, those around you too.

It’s about creating a habit that reflects in different aspects of your life.

A 1 hour workout may be just 1 hour of your day, but that 1 hour changes how you act and feel the other 23 hours of your day.

My client smashing his training! 💥 Nathan started PT around 5 weeks ago wanting to gain muscle definition without “bulking up”and increase his strength & fitness.

Nathan has increased his leg press weight comfortably by 65kg in 5 weeks!! His overall strength has improved and we are going to review progress via Body Fat, BMI ect soon! This will be exciting! 🔥

Sarah has been having PT for a month now, 1 session a week. Today we did a progress check and the results are in!
Sarah has lost 4lb, reduced her body fat by 4%, BMI is down along with all her measurements! 🙏🏻
We’ve monitored Sarah’s diet and are following a flexible approach (Gregg’s muffins, treat day at work!🧁) to include foods she still enjoys, not too restrictive and easy to follow.
We are working on strengh to bring up some weaker body parts which is coming on amazingly and learning form with weight training which is a new way of training for her!
Couldn’t be happier with how progress is moving! Well done Sarah, see you next week! 🙏🏻🔥

Adapt to the situation…Sometimes you just have to do what you can with what you have 🤔

Todays session I needed the bench as part of my session which was right at the back of the garage as I’ve not used it in a while…also meaning I’d of had to move a lot of stuff to reach it which would of taken time which isn’t something I had alot of (nap time for my daughter = my training time today 💤🏋🏻‍♀️)

However what I did have is my daughters little chair near by.

Was it ideal? Not really
Did it give me the ability to still do the exercise I wanted using some form of a seat? Yes…

💭 Moral of the story - you probably won’t always have the best circumstances but it’s what you do with what you have available. 🙏🏻

Not got a long time to train? A short training session is better than no training session 💪🏼

Not got a wide range of equipment? Use your body, move, bodyweight exercises, increase reps if weights are too light ect… 💪🏼

…’New You’ or ‘Better You’ 🤔💭

It’s that time of year again when majority of people set health and fitness goals to go back to the gym/start some form of exercise, change their typical daily diet, stopping drinking ect 🏋🏻‍♀️🥗

A lot of the time these planned changes work for a short time or perhaps the thought of them working but then in reality don’t actually happen due to one reason or another. 🤦🏻‍♀️

We often put so much emphasis on changing all of these habits and all at once to become a ‘new you’ and it’s often just unrealistic and pretty hard work and unenjoyable because it’s so different to normal routine and life! 🥴

What if the goal is to be a ‘better you’ a couple small changes followed by taking things up a notch once that’s been achievable, small changes along the way…🤞🏼

Let’s say you’ve decided to start going to the gym every night after work and previously haven’t been for a long time or perhaps you’ve not been to a gym before, that’s a big change to your week!
What if the first goal is to go twice a week and then increase frequency further down the line? This is a much more realistic and manageable goal! 🙏🏻
Equally by being more realistic you won’t feel disheartened if you couldn’t go each night and in turn that could then set your motivation back a step…

Maybe you’ve decided to completely change all of your eating/drinking, no ‘junk food’ or alcohol…what if the goal became, I’ll just choose overall healthier options but still have something you’d class as not so healthy but just less frequent ect?

It’s so easy to think that we can make all these dramatic changes at once and maybe that will work for you but if you find yourself in this position too often maybe it’s a good idea to focus on positive changes to make a ‘better you’ because we can manage that goal and expectation of ourselves a lot easier!

Perhaps creating a ‘better you’ slowly overtime will actually make you feel like a ‘new you’ further down the line when you look back at where you started… 💭🙏🏻

Ladies you can still look feminine and be STRONG 💪🏼

Don’t be afraid to step out of the cardio area and into the weights section of the gym 🙏🏻

On my recent ‘Questions’ from my story I’ve had a lot of DMs about whether you should use machines of free weights (Dumbbells, Barbells ect) how many reps/sets you should do, why you aren’t seeing any definition yet…
