A 3D printed brain model was developed specifically for testing how drugs transverse the blood brain barrier using brain stem cells. Researchers at Celprogen have identified and characterized 11 lead compounds that could be potential drug candidates for diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Glioblastoma. This advancement in bioprinting will have a lasting impact on the future studies of neurological diseases.

You've heard of 3D printing, but what about 3D knitting? A rather curious sculpture created by ETH Zürich, Global has been unveiled in Mexico City. Known as the KnitCandela, its structure includes concrete, but its form comes from knitted textile supported by a steel cable-net.
