I took 1st place at Hyrox Las Vegas in my age group.
But here’s the truth…
This wasn’t about beating anyone else.
It was about answering the voice in my head that asked,
“Can you push harder?”
“Can you stay disciplined?”
“Can you execute when it counts?”
It was about focusing on what I was capable of.
Not what the woman next to me was lifting.
Not what anyone else’s pace looked like.
Just me. My training. My discipline. My work.
Early mornings.
Consistency when it wasn’t exciting.
Showing up when nobody was watching.
That’s what built this.
Strength isn’t just physical.
It’s mental. It’s emotional. It’s choosing to stay in it when it would be easier to coast.
And maybe the most important part?
My daughter got to watch.
She got to see that women don’t expire.
We don’t age out of competing.
We don’t shrink ourselves because a number changes.
We get stronger.
We get smarter.
We get more focused.
You don’t have to chase what everyone else is doing.
You don’t have to compare your chapter to someone else’s highlight reel.
Focus on what you’re capable of.
Build your body. Train your mind.
Stay in your lane.
You might surprise yourself with what you can accomplish.
This is just the beginning.
