What is Sacred Pregnancy ? I believe it’s about honouring the Feminine in our selves and our lives. Realising that our bodies are unique , incredible and sacred. My personal belief is that we are children of the Earths longing for healing and health and that manifests as the Divine Goddess for me but might be seen differently for others. It doesn’t matter ! What matters is that birth ( and all transitions) are honoured and treated as the Sacred times that they are. Sometimes messy, uncomfortable and dark but no less sacred because of that.

So it’s been a move over to West Yorkshire and a few twists and turns,along with Lockdown but we are still here, still available to support, care for,guide and give thanks for the women and partners who want a Sacred Pregnancy ( and Postpartum).

Imbolc, first ewes milk, beginnings, Spring, new life.
I feel the affinity that Imbolc has with pregnant and birthing women. I can feel the stirrings of new life beneath the Earth.
Brigit, goddess of Imbolc is the archetype of midwives and doulas .
Embrace the season, keep warm but welcome new life, new inspiration, new ideas. Whatever you plant, either physically or imaginatively, at this time will grow strong and yield wonderful lessons and amazing fruit .

Sacred Pregnancy seems to have gone quiet for a while. We all seem to lead hectic lives BUT you are always important to us, whether it is Hypnobirth classes or simply honouring the sacredness of life and birth.
Sarah ( Sarah Red Pebble Doula) is taking part in Northern End of Life Doulas but is available for births and Hypnobirth classes.

There are so many wonderful things happening this month. A new doula training weekend is happening here in sunny Yorkshire ... yes, really ... it’s actually sunny in Yorkshire !!
There are new and vibrsnt Hypnobirthing teachers joining together to provide support for you . Theres a fab wellness weekend to come .... with the lovely Claire .Details soon.
Retreats , fun and lots of chocolate probably ( doulas and chocolate are a heaven sent combination).

Last nights interview on Pen*stone FM went well, despite me wondering if I'd get the message across about being a doula and Hypnobirthing. As the drive increases to regiment and medicalise pregnancy and birth let's show women and girls that there's a different way 💕
