Subsequently, the company continued to expand with the establishment of Mayas for Trading Stores Pharma division in 2000 and with the acquisition of the whole establishment, MAYAS TRADING CORPORATION on April, 2010. At present, Mayas for Trading operations are undertaken by three business divisions employing approximately 120 people in the regions throughout Yemen. It is engaged in a diverse array
of businesses, including pharmaceuticals, medical appliances and construction materials. Established in 2000, Mayas for Trading Stores Pharma division is engaged in the importing, distribution, and sales of innovative and creative products that can make a difference in people's health and well-being in markets throughout Yemen. The company has been aiming for sustainable success through the importing and distribution of value added products. Mayas for Trading Stores Pharma division maintains strategic and controlling functions with a management team possessing large pharmaceutical company experience employing 53 people in the pharmaceutical division. More capital intensive functions are outsourced to maximize efficiency and profitability. Mayas for Trading Stores Pharma division marketing and sales division is very important with a sales force of 24 medical reps and 11 Sales representatives, who promote and market the range of pharmaceutical products.
