Human metapneumovirus (HMPV) spreads through respiratory droplets, much like RSV and influenza. In the majority of cases HMPV is a mild illness, but in some cases, HMPV may cause more severe illness such as bronchitis, bronchiolitis, or pneumonia.

Remember to always practice good hygiene, stay home when sick, and protect vulnerable individuals to help reduce the spread of HMPV and other respiratory illnesses.
