💜Ladies,
A C-section is not the easy way out. It is major surgery, performed while you are awake, often under pressure, sometimes without warning; followed by the immediate, relentless demand of a newborn who does not know you are recovering.
That is not a lesser birth. That is extraordinary strength.
Caesarean Awareness Month is not just about statistics or surgical education. It is about making sure every mother who birthed this way feels seen, honoured, and completely valid in whatever she felt about the experience.
Because birth; however it unfolds, leaves a mark. Not just physical. Emotional. Psychological. Sometimes complicated, and the part we do not talk about enough is this: processing your birth experience is part of healing from it.
Whether it was everything you hoped for, nothing like you planned, or something in between; your feelings about it are real and they deserve space.
Talk to someone you trust. Write it down. Sit with it honestly, and if you are struggling to come to terms with how your birth unfolded; please reach out. To a friend, a partner, a professional, or to your nearest ob/gyn.
You are not alone in this. And there is no version of your story that is not worth honouring💜
