ONLY YOU

Only you will ever know the real you.

Everyone else sees a version of you;
a version created in their mind,
through their filters
and using their own experiences
and judgements
to mould you from.

You may think they see
what you know about yourself
but they don’t.

Every one you have ever met,
holds a version of you in their memory.
And none of them are real.

It is a special moment
when this truth sinks in
because you realise, at last,
that you have a very unique thing
going on,
with yourself.

So many versions of you exist,
in very many places
but you alone will ever know
the real one.

Now if that is not a relationship
worth treasuring,
what is?

There was a man who used to sell balloons. He was having different colors of balloons which used to attract small children. Whenever he was not satisfied with his sales , he used to release a helium-filled balloon into the air , and this released balloon attracted small children. They would come to him and buy a balloon and his sales would go up again. Once a small boy came to him and asked out of curiosity “uncle like your other balloons can a black balloon would also fly if you release it in air. Could you do this for me, please” the boy requested. The balloon man replied to the boy “Dear, it is not the colour of the balloon , it is what is inside that makes it go up in the sky”.

As in the above anecdote, it is our attitude, approach & outlook which helps us attain great heights in life. Attitude is one of those small things that make a big difference. Without the right outlook, persons with great talent, skill, knowledge cannot achieve their potential. Positive attitude leads to happiness and success and can change our whole life. It brings constructive changes in one’s life. With a positive outlook we see the bright side of life, become optimistic and expect the best to happen. If one looks at the bright side of life, our whole life becomes filled with light. Persons with positive outlook are caring, confident, patient and humble and because of their positive outlook that radiates energy, happiness and success, such are welcomed by all.
