After nearly 10 years in the dental industry I have noticed a gap in the market for purchasing used equipment. When I started my dental laboratory in 2012, I needed lots of equipment, but did not have the funds to buy new so had to try and source it second hand. Many practitioners starting out don't have the funds to equip their surgeries or practices with new equipment or furniture and would defi
nitely consider buying good quality used stuff. Meditrader.co.za is a platform for the medical industry (including dental) to advertise new/used equipment, furniture and consumables. It will also include a directory of practitioners, specialists, pharmaceutical and medical related companies. The target market of this site will be quite specific and not for the general public, although they will have access to the site. The site will target dentists, dental laboratory technicians, doctors, specialists, buyers employed in hospitals, clinics and nursing homes, receptionists in doctors rooms and pharmaceutical reps. We also provide a platform for medical practitioners to find jobs and to post jobs at their practices. The aim and vision for the site is to provide medical and dental professionals with a platform to be able to browse a site where other medical or dental professionals have advertised a product that they no longer require.
