A diverse program of invited speakers and contributed presentations showcased both practical field experience and emerging research. Case studies, applied clinical insights, and scientific investigations formed a strong component of the proceedings, with active discussions highlighting real-world challenges faced by wildlife veterinarians.

The congress also created valuable networking opportunities, strengthening collaboration between private practitioners, academia, and conservation organizations.
Overall, the event highlighted the growing importance of integrated, field-relevant veterinary expertise in supporting sustainable wildlife industries and conservation efforts in Southern Africa.
