Congratulations to Francois Lombard on receiving his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with distinction from the University of Johannesburg!

Francois has always had a deep passion for holistic well-being. His journey has not been without sacrifice—having first graduated and worked as an Industrial Psychologist before pursuing his dream of becoming a Clinical Psychologist.

Our clients have heard this quote probably way too often, but it's such an important part of self regulation.

By intentionally increasing this gap, we allow ourselves to respond from a place of curiosity and not judgement.

Research from Schutte et al. (2007) suggests that individuals with higher emotional intelligence can regulate emotions more easily, especially in stressful situations.

That means less snapping, and more responding. Less regret, and more control.

Oh, and it’s probably important to note that it's not about suppression, but creating an informed and conscious choice.
