What an explosion of our senses. As part of the lifestyle program and sensory activity, residents in Lovealot care at Panorama Palms had a blind taste test where they had to identify the fruits. This was great fun and not to mention a lovely treat of healthy foods. Thank you again to the care team who are always there to assist the residents.

Panorama Palms Rocks! Mandy facilitated a lovely Creative workshop where residents decorated rocks. On the back is information about Panorama Palms. The rocks will be placed in the village or on paths outside the village. If someone finds the rock there is a website where they can take a picture and upload it to share where the rock was located. Panorama Palms hosted their 18th Fun Quiz since its inception. A big thank you to our volunteer, Alice Abrahamse who prepares the powerpoint presentation with the the various categories. The Quiz inspires brainstorming and brainpower, but also creates a lot of laughter and fun. Our winning team was Mrs Benn, Mrs Casteling, Mrs Manca and Mrs Du Toit. Congratulations!!

As part of the lifestyle program, Panorama Palms invited Ronellé Foster whose journey with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has become a beacon of hope and courage. On July 20, 2020, when she received her diagnosis, it was clear that she was not only facing a serious illness but was also blessed with an unwavering positive spirit.
Since December 12, 2023, Ronellé has been leukemia-free, and she shares her story of struggle and survival with complete honesty. Her zest for life and ability to laugh in the face of the greatest obstacles make her a true inspiration to everyone she meets. Our resident, Mrs Southey, also a cancer survivor, shared the special symbolism of a photo of a Cancer walk she did with her fellow residents at the village. Jeanette Cloete of Facinations showed us the increbile wigs and toppers that residents can buy. The morning was quite special. Each attendee received an inspiration card, with a candle. What an inspirational day.

In preparation for Elder Abuse Awareness Day, residents at Panorama Palms were treated to a self-defence and safety presentation by Louis Venter from Hennie Bosman Karate School. The session combined practical safety advice with a lively, hands-on self-defence class that left everyone both surprised and entertained.
Thank you, Louis, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
