With the weather in Pretoria turning a little warmer, it was wonderful to see residents from Jakaranda Park making the most of it. A very special moment unfolded when three residents spent time together on the swing bench—soaking in the sunshine, the gentle motion, and the joy of good company. 🌸💛 Sometimes, it’s the simple things that bring the greatest joy.

Women’s Day is a special occasion celebrated every year, and this year was no different. The Jakaranda Park Social Club suggested creating handmade coasters for each lady as a token of appreciation, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the day.
The ladies arrived and the excitement was tangible - ready to enjoy the festivities. A highlight of the morning was the performance of golden oldies by the children of one of our dedicated volunteers, filling the room with music and joy. The ladies were treated to a colourful breakfast, laughter, and wonderful company. It was truly a festive and memorable event, celebrating the women who make our community so special. 💐✨

With harmless fun, sneaky surprises, and a few giggles, our little light-hearted rebellion brought everyone together. Sorry, Marna - we couldn’t resist!
