As we celebrate International Nurses Day this week, we are proud to acknowledge Sister Christine and the incredible role she plays in the lives of people living with diabetes.
This article beautifully reflects not only the knowledge and expertise required of a Diabetes Nurse Educator, but also the compassion, patience and emotional support that often happens quietly
behind the scenes every day.
For many patients, managing diabetes can feel overwhelming, exhausting and lonely. Sister Christine’s ability to educate without judgement, support patients through difficult moments and empower them to take ownership of their health is what makes such a meaningful difference.
Everyday we see firsthand the care and dedication Sr Christine brings to every patient interaction, whether helping someone newly diagnosed navigate fear and uncertainty, supporting insulin pump
management, or simply listening when someone needs encouragement. Thank you, Sister Christine, for the lives you touch, the confidence you build, and the hope you bring to so many people living with chronic conditions.
