In July we did a workshop on cognitive load.

So, try to remember learning to drive a car. Thinking about all the things you had to think about:
Indicators, clutch, accelerator, brake, changing gears, steering, watching for other cars. This is what it feels like for some children to learn literacy, completely overwhelming and stressful 🤯

This reward system was introduced at the beginning of 2025. Each child coming to therapy gets an animal, each time they achieve something great they move their respective animal up the mountain to reach for the clouds. When they get to the top they earn a prize 🏔️🏆

Reward systems are a great way to motivate a child to do something that is challenging, it allows them to see their hard work visually and also puts them in control. Want to get some other ideas on how to reward, message us and we will send some ideas through to you!! 💬

Why should you not be using cotton buds to clean your ears?.. Well it is pretty simple instead of removing the wax you are pushing it deeper into your ear 👂🏾👂🏼

There are little hair cells in your ear canal which move the wax out of your ear, when you go and put an ear bud in to clean your ear, you are just working against these hair cells 😣😖So how should we be cleaning our ears?
Just use a damp facecloth to wipe the outside of your ear and any visible wax, all other wax will come out with time ⏰⌛️
